*Vanessa's P.O.V*

Dylan and I walked hand in hand along the beach in silence, enjoying each others company. Well I wasn't, but by the smile that hadn't left his face since we'd seen Mike, I'm guessing he was. “I wanna go to work today.” I spoke up. He stopped walking and turned to face me.

“Are you sure?” He looked a little unsure about my decision. I nodded and smiled to hide how I was feeling inside. “Yeah. I wanna talk to Sophia about everything that's happened today.” I waved my hands in the air for effect and he laughed.

“Okay then, want me to walk you over?” I shook my head.

“No don't worry. It's just over the road. I'll text you when I'm coming home yeah?” He smiled and wrapped his arms around me, causing me to stiffen a little under his hold.

“Will do,” he mumbled leaning down to kiss me gently, making me feel... nothing. “Have a good rest of the day okay?” I pulled away and smiled as he walked back the way we came from. My smile soon dropped though as soon as he turned his back to me. Swiveling on the balls of my feet, I turned around to the way to work. Walking slowly, shuffling my feet in the sand, I couldn't help but feel as if I was going to be sick.

I stopped outside of work and took in a deep breath. This could either go two ways; Soph will either be happy for me, or extremely mad.

Stepping in, the bell rang and the sound of tattoo guns filled my ears. Even though I was only gone for 4 days, I missed this. “Matt can you see who's here?” I heard Soph call out.

“I can't! I'm busy tattooing!” I chuckled to myself.

“It's only me guys.” I heard something drop and soon I was faced with a smiley Sophia.

“Hey you! How are you feeling?” She rushed over and pulled me into a big hug. I hugged back, clutching tightly feeling as if I could collapse. “Like shit.” She leaned back and gave out a little laugh.

“Well you certainly look like it. What made you come in today?” I unwrapped myself from the hug and took in a deep breath.

“Wanna go get lunch? I haven't eaten all day.” She nodded and smiled widely at me.

“I'll be right back okay?” She rushed out back to I'm guessing her room and grabbed her bag. “Matt I'm going out. Keep the shop in one piece. Thanks babe!” She walked over towards me and looped her arm through mine. “C'mon, let's go.”

We entered one of our favourite takeaway stores and ordered some hot chips. Soph turned to face me and leaned against the counter on her elbow. “So, what's up?” I bit my lip and leaned on the counter too, crossing my arms and watching an asian man fry up the chips.

“A lot.” I could see out of the corner of my eye she raised an eyebrow.

“You gonna explain?” I swallowed hard and rubbed a hand over my arm.

“Y-yeah, just,” I sighed. “We're gonna have to sit down for this possibly.” Yet again, I saw her raise her eyebrow. I let out another sigh and stood up to thank the man and collect our chips. “Come on, let's go find a bench and I'll explain properly when we get there.”

“Is it bad?” I could hear the fear in her tone, and it could only lead to one thing. Dylan. I shrugged as we exited the shop and made our way towards a park bench. “Depends how you take it I guess.” She let out a little laugh and playfully shoved me.

“You know I overreact over everything!” I laughed and placed the chips down when we reached our destination.

“I know, but hey. You're my bestfriend, and this shit I'm about to tell you, I need your input on it.” She opened up the paper and dug into the chips, shoving two into her mouth.
