I wake with cold sweat on my forehead. I must have been screaming again. And must have slept through school. Shit. But, Sarah always brought me home when I was screaming. Always. The only reason I know this is because I'm no longer in her room. I'm sitting in my own bed. I shoot Sarah a text saying thank you. Ever since I was little, Which has been a very, very, long time for me. But only a few years for others, I have had nightmares. And I screamed apparently. My throat was dry and lips chapped. I go downstairs and drink some water. "Morning, honey." My mother says as she comes down the stairs. "Hey." I croak, throat still sore. Thunder cracks and I jump, nearly spilling my water. I sink to the ground and my mom shrugs. She starts to walk back to the stairs and I call out. "Can I move into the dorms?" She sighs. "I'd learn to be more independent." I continue. "If there's a room open then, yes." "Awe. Please- wait you said yes?!" I jump up, glad I set my water down, and pump my fist. "Hell yeah!" I scream. "Language!" My mom calls out. "Sorry" I say quickly. I grab my jacket and run out of the house. "I'll be at sarahs!" I rush out forgetting the rain. I immediately get drenched. "And Sarah brought me back in her car." I groan. I start walking slowly towards the dorms, chilled to the bone. Head lights come up behind me and slow down. "Hey cutie! What you doing in the rain?" I familiar voice calls out. I screech when lightning pops in the sky and I look at him. "Hey Froster" I put on a smile. "You need a ride?" He looks at me worriedly. "I don't want to mess up your car." I shrug. "Couldn't you just time travel back and call me to come pick you up?" I shake my head. "I don't travel for silly things." He sighs "I'll give you a ride." I shake my head, silent. "Get in the car" I put my hands up, as a surrender, and get in his car. "Holy crap it's hot in here!" I Yelp when I get in the car. "Are you kidding?! It's freezing." I look at him funny. He puts a hand to my head, at the contact I blush. "God damn your burning up" he growls. I shrug. "I'm fine." He sighs and turns to the road. "Sarahs?" I nod. The car is silent. One minute. Two. Three. Four. "Let's make a bet." Jayden says. "I get to kiss you if you get sick." I don't look at him. "And if I don't get sick?" He stays silent for a few seconds. "What do you want." To tell you everything. I smirk. "If I don't get sick ill tell you about what happened in the previous timeline. Deal?" He nods. I know that's something he wants. And I'm already getting sick. We reach the dorms. "Oh. Is there a dorm room open?" I ask him and he nods. "Right next to my dorm room" I nod. "When can I move in?" I look at him. "Friday." He looks at me. "your mom said yes?" "Yeah. And I screamed, 'hell yeah' at the top of my lungs" I laugh. "HELL YEAH!" He screams and I laugh even more. "I get cutie next door to me. You gonna throw parties all night long?" He laughs. "Nope" I say. "But plenty of raging at my x box." I grin. We sit in the car. "Can I check out the apartment?" He nods. "Just ask the guy that's there. He's moving out Thursday. So far no one has come to rent it." I nod. "So I have a good chance." "Yup. Especially because today is Wednesday" he smirks. I grab his hand and he blushes. "What the hell are we waiting for?! Let's go! I'm bored of my moms house!" I start running towards the apartment. When we get there, I knock on the door. A boy with Raven black hair answers the door. "Yeah?" He says in a bored voice. "Can I rent this apartment?" I ask. He looks at me. "Really? Okay" he shrugs. He finally sees Jayden. "Hey Jayden" the guy says. "Hey Daniel" he looks back at me. "You can move in tomorrow. The cost is around 600 a month." I nod. "Okay" I smile. Perfect. Things are going smoothly, for now.
