Leion awoke and found Melody in his bed snuggled up to him. Leion aroused her and together they went to the dining hall for breakfast before they docked in one hour.

"Sorry for...this morning." Melody said.

"It's fine." Leion responded

"I got really cold last night." She explained.

"Only so much heat an Ice type trainer can provide." He joked.

They finished their breakfast with some chatter about the tournament an announcement came over the P.A. system while they were in their cabin watching T.V.

"We will be docking in Ambrette Town shortly."

"Alright we need to make a stop in Dendemille Town." Leion said to Melody while grabbing his satchel.

"Okay." She said.

They walked along a road until they came across a group of bird trainers, one of them Leion recognized.

"Well if it isn't Gryffin." Leion called to his old friend.

Gryffin turned around. His black jacket blowing in the breeze. His ginger hair was cut short and his blue eyes glowed when his gaze fell upon Leion.

"Aye! Leion what you be doin here?" He asked hugging Leion.

"Come for the tournament. And there's one more pokemon I need to catch." Leion responded breaking their hug. "You plan to register?"

"Nah, didn't plan to but I wanna." Gryffin grinned.

"Hey can I ask a favor of you?" Leion asked Gryffin.

"Sure my friend anything you need!" Gryffin smiled again.

"My friend and I here need a ride to Dendemille Town." Leion explained gesturing to Melody and himself.

"Well sure." Gryffin said happily. "I actually got a shipment headed there."

"Great!" Leion said.

Leion and Melody helped Gryffin load his cargo onto his braviary, then helped Melody mount the large bird before mounting it himself.

"Y'all ready to go?" Gryffin asked.

"Yeah let's be off." Leion responded.

"Alright Braviary fly us to Dendemille Town!" Gryffin commanded his majestic bird.

The ride to Dendemille Town took quite a while being it was on the other side of the region. When they landed they departed with Gryffin and took up a room in a pokemon center. Melody crashed almost instantly. Leion sat on his bed wondering how he was ever going to beat Alex. Suddenly his pokenav starting buzzing. He looked at it and Alex was calling. Leion didn't want to talk to Alex till the day of the tournament so he ignored the call. Leion was restless so he decided to go do what they had arrived in Dendemille Town for. He left Melody to sleep as he slipped out of their room. Leion left the pokemon center and went east towards Frost cavern, where the most defensive ice type Pokemon resides. Leion stepped into the cave and his breath could be seen but he wasn't bothered by the temperature. He went deep into the cave and found tons of sleeping Bergmites but not what he was looking for. As he went deeper he found a whole large colony of Avalugg.

"Perfect" Leion thought.

He sought out the largest one to capture. When he came upon it he noticed the shards of ice hanging from the sides of its head were yellow instead of the average blue. He didn't want to wake the whole colony so he touched the sleeping pokemon with one of his ultraballs. The ball shook thrice before beeping. Leion quickly snatched it up and looked around hoping none of the massive sleeping pokemon awoke from the ball. He left the cave and when he stood in the mouth he looked at the sun starting to rise.

"It's been forever since I've seen a sunrise like this." Leion said in awe feeling a bit nostalgic. He hadn't seen a sunrise since his adventures with Alex. He went back to the pokemon center to see if Melody was wake. He slowly opened the door to their room and Melody was still asleep. He lightly aroused her.

"Huh?" Melody asked sitting up and rubbing one of her emerald green eyes.

"Morning has broken. We're setting off again" Leion responded handing her the yellow bag she brought with her on the journey. They left the pokemon center and set off for Lumiose city.

"Your team all set for the tournament?" Leion asked Melody.

"Yeah. How about yours?" Melody responded.

"I've got a little bit more work to do." Leion confessed. "I caught my last pokemon while you slept."

"Ooh! What is it?" Melody asked.

"You'll see at the tournament." Leion teased.

Suddenly the air around them was getting blown in strong gusts. Leion recognized the powerful wings of a flying pokemon he hadn't seen in four years. A large orange creature landed in front of him.

"Well, how have you been Dragonite?" Leion asked looking into the cold eyes of the large dragon.

"Greet the pokemon before your own brother? That's not how I taught you." A deep voice said from the back of the pokemon.

"You taught me to love all pokemon." Leion responded.

The owner of the dragonite lept from his back and landed in front of Leion. His white over coat fluttered in the wind. His long white hair pulled back. He wore a black shirt and white pants. His deep blue eyes stared directly into Leion's own blue eyes.

"I haven't seen eyes that light and blue in four years." The man said.

"Well that's your own fault Alex." Leion responded not breaking the eye contact.

"Why didn't you pick up when I called you last night?" Alex asked a little annoyed.

"I was...busy." Leion told him.

"Catching an Avalugg I assume." Alex patted Leion's shoulder.

"How'd you find me anyway?" Leion asked.

"It isn't hard. You'll be wherever it's the coldest and since you weren't in Snowbelle City I assumed you had to be here." Alex responded easily.

"Uh. H-hi." Melody peeped from behind Leion her eyes shining at the sight of the legendary brothers.

"Hello there." Alex responded peering past Leion at Melody. "Leion mind introducing me to your little friend here?"

"Oh Alex meet Melody." Leion put his hands into his jacket pockets.

"Greetings Melody, I am-" Alex started.

"I know who you are." Melody interrupted. "You're Alex the legendary psychic monotype champion. You and your Gardevoir dominated the monotype leagues three years ago!"

"Ah yes exactly one year after Leion gave up on our dream." Alex said impressed by what Melody knew.

"You mean your dream!" Leion burst from behind Alex.

"Leion you know that you shared the dream of world fame in the monotype tag team league." Alex responded clearly agitated.

"I never wanted to join your stupid league!" Leion responded. "And it seems your doing just fine without me!"

"I am doing this to spark all trainers everywhere to get a pokemon and follow their dreams!" Alex turned to face Leion. "Something you apparently weren't very good at!"

Leion looked down. "You were beating my Spheal relentlessly...your dream clouded your judgment and pushed me too hard. I didn't quit cause I didn't think I couldn't, I quit cause Spheal was getting harmed."

"Leion..if you want to get better the only way is to be beaten over and over again until you can overcome your struggles and beat your opponent." Alex responded lightly.

"You were always better than me though." Leion said.

"I had three years of experience over you." Alex reminded him.
