We finally made it to the hideout. Rachel gave me the coordinates. Kat didn't talk the whole way there. When we got to the hideout, I stopped to look at the house. But Kat kept walking.

I walked in first, leaving the door open. Kat walked in, slamming the door behind her and groaning as she stomped up the stairs. "Are you mad?" I asked. "No, I'm frolicking in freaking dandelions!" she yelled.

I walked up the stairs after her. She went to walk into the room with her name on the door. Kat tried to slam the door but I stopped it, walked in and slammed it then. "Tell me what's wrong." I demand. "Nothing's wrong. Why would anything be wrong?" Kat said. She walked out to the balcony, standing by the rail. "Yes, something is wrong. Now tell me."

"Fine. You wanna know what's wrong?" I nod. "You. You're what's wrong. I think you'll be the same but you change. You've dated two girls in the last month! I thought you wouldn't turn into one of those typed of guys. But you have! I can't even turn to look at you without another girl on your arm!" I looked at her in shock but a spark of anger flooded my brain. "Well I wouldn't be that way if you hadn't run off!" "Oh. Now we're blaming me?! Two can play at this game. How about I blame you for all the shit you caused? How about I blame you for Ide's start of human experimentation? One thing I can blame you for is David freaking Scheffield finding out his entire project ran off! And not to mention - WE BLEW UP HALF THE BUILDING!" Kat yelled.

I stared at her in shock, my eyes wide. "Don't ever - ever - blame me for that crazy bastard's doings." I said. Kat walked over to the door and opened it, about to walk out. "You are not gonna walk out on a fight you started." I say, glaring at her.

"You're right. I'm not." Kat said. She closed the door and walked over to me. I looked at her confused. She stood closer than normal. But I understood why when she leaned up and kissed me.

Kat and I didn't talk to each other for the next two days. Until the day I decided to walk out of my room at the wrong time without my shirt. "So." Kat said, sucking in a sharp breath. "Rachel and Alex told me David forgot about us. Grant finally used that power of his." she said stepping towards her bedroom door.

Kat looked at my arm, eyeing the tattoo. "I never noticed until now that it doesn't look too bad." she said. She walked over and saw a few smaller details. "You know, I didn't mean to blow up on you the other day. I was just - " "Overwhelmed with everything? I know." I took Kat's hand, wrapping her into a hug. Both of us ignored the fact that I wasn't wearing a shirt. But Rachel wasn't going to.

"Oooooo. Wow Kayden, getting a kickstart." Rachel said. "What do you need Rachel?" Kat asked. "Meeting. Alex asked if I could tell Kayden. Can you call a meeting?" she said. "Yes." I say, walking towards Grant's room. "Grant!" "What?" Grant asks, opening his door. "We're having a meeting." "Now?" I nod.

Grant followed us as we walked into the kitchen where Alex was standing. "You allowed it?" Alex asked. I nodded, sitting down. What is this meeting about?" I ask. Alex sat down at the table, handing me a sheet of paper. "David went to another Ide. So I say we find him." Alex says. "I agree. We can't just let him keep this up. We need to get rid of him." Rachel said. We fought about the topic and discussed it.

"Guys. Why don't we just do what we all want to. Destroy Ide." Grant said. We all looked at him, shock on our faces. Was - was he serious?

Kat was still up even hours after everyone else went to bed. "Are you okay?" I asked, sitting at the table with her. "Yeah. I'm okay. I'm just thinking about some things." Kat traced her ring finger along a pattern on the table. "Like what?"

"We know that finding David is important. But he knows what we look like. Even if he forgot our names. People don't forget faces." Kat says, looking down at my tattoo. "Hey." I say, catching her attention. "Why don't we change our appearances? David won't be able to catch the people that don't exist." I said. Kat looked at me, confused. She narrowed her eyes, looking back down at the table. "Are you suggesting we get new looks? Really?" Kat asked. I nodded, standing up.

Kat stood from her seat and followed me to the kitchen. "Okay. I'll agree to that. After we talk about - ya know. The -" "Kiss?" I said, finishing her thought. "Yeah." I turned to face her. "What's there to talk about? Yeah we fought. Yeah you wanted to leave. Yeah we both gave in and kissed. But isn't that it? You were angry and you had the right to be. Lots of people do stupid things when they're angry." No! "Y-Yeah. You're right. It was just a stupid move."

The next morning, I woke up in a different room. The drapes on the window next to me were closed. A desk stood against the wall some feet away. It wasn't a very large room. I knew I was lying in a bed. I knew it was morning. But I didn't know who's room I was in. "Morning." I heard a voice mutter as they walked into the room.  "You're in my room." Rachel said. So it was. I sat up, letting my eyes adjust to the dark. "Kat wants to see you downstairs."

Downstairs, Kat sat on the couch, as if waiting for me. "So. Are we changing our appearances? Or not?" she asked. "I say we all get tattoos." I looked at her, wide eyed and surprised. "You. The girl that hates needles. You want a tattoo? That's a bunch of needles and ink being put into your skin." I said. "I know."

"Okay. Get the pack and we'll get new looks and tattoos." Kat nods, going up to get everyone. "Kayden." I turned to face Grant, who made it downstairs first. "What is it Grant?" I ask. "How are we gonna get tattoos if we're supposed to be 18?"

"We're only 5 miles away from the town Kat and I stayed in. We'll go to the tattoo shop there. I know a guy."
