"Kat!" I followed her to the room she shared with the girls. "No. I told you I had a bad feeling about David. Now look what happened! I told you!" she yelled, opening the bedroom window. "What are you-" "Caleb, Katy. What's going on?" David asked, looking at us confusedly. "I'm sorry David. You've been so nice even if we only met yesterday. But I have to trust my instincts. And they're saying not to trust you. So, goodbye." Kat said. I tried to stop her, but I was too late. She jumped out to the courtyard below.

I ran out of the room, going to the balcony. I stood up onto the rail. "What are you doing?!" David asked. "You're about to find out the real us." I said not facing him. I have to find Kat. I can't let her leave.

I took my hoodie off, unfurling my wings. 17 feet of black wings. "What? Kayden?!" I heard David yell. " Shut the hell up!" Rachel yelled, kicking David to the ground. "Go find her Kay."

I jumped down, flying over the city to look for Kat. I have to get her back. I can't let her think I don't care. I love Kat too much to let her leave and likely die.

I flew for hours with no luck. I went back to David's but it was eerily quiet. "Hello?" I said, walking into the room. I walked upstairs. The office light was still on. "Kay?" Rachel. "Kay! W-Where's Kat?" I looked down, my wings folding tighter as I looked down. "She's gone."
