"Another day, another problem. Why do you refuse to cooperate with me Kayden?" said Dr. Spencer. He brought me to Ide when I was a baby. But now that I'm sixteen he's gonna learn that experimenting on me comes with a price. "I don't need anymore chemicals forced into my body. It's like you're forcing me to shoot heroine." I say, leaning against  desk. I'm the only one who hasn't pulled any bull with the doctors. That is, until today.

I walked across the room, keeping my hands out of Spencer's sight. This time, we will escape. I'll make sure of it. 'This is for Kat.' I think to myself. I took a syringe, quickly stabbing Spencer in the arm. A wallet fell from his pocket. "I'll be taking this." I say, taking the wallet.

Alarms sounded, and I had to hide. I could hear the guards yelling and shouting orders. I ran down the hallway to the rooms where Grant and Rachel are being held. "Kayden?" Grant says as I unlock the door. "Yeah. Hi. Let's go. We're getting out of this hell hole."

Grant didn't say anything more. Both him and Rachel walked out of the rooms and ran to another hall where Alex was held. "Alex." Rachel said. "Let's go. Kayden's plan worked." Alex ran out the door when Grant opened it. "Now what?" Alex asked.

"Now we go find Kat. She's the whole reason I made this plan." I said as we walked down the hall. The alarms had finally stopped. But we could still hear the guards.

We ran through halls, checked in labs and offices. But we couldn't find Kat anywhere. "Forget it Kay! Spencer probably took her already!" Alex yelled over the guards. "Spencer's passed out. I stabbed him with a syringe!" I yelled back.  "What was in it?!" I heard Grant yell from in front of me. I smiled innocently as he looked back. "I don't know!" CL482. A drug that makes us pass out for the tattoo process. That's what was in it.

"Kat's - gone. Let's just go. We can't look around Ide all night. We have to go." Rachel said, putting a hand on my shoulder. Grant looked at me in agreement with Rachel. "We can't. I did this for her. She's been tortured the most. We need to find her. I care about her." I say to Grant who nods, and runs off. "Where is he going?" Alex asks. "No clue." I say, confused.

"Hey guys. I'd hate to interrupt the conversation. But I don't have a million hands to burn every guard!" Rachel yells, and I turn to see her using her fire power to set guards ablaze. "Nothing like going out in a blaze of glory." I glare at Alex. "Nothing? Okay." she says awkwardly.

Alex and I help, using our wings - yes, wings. I'll explain after - to help fuel the fires. "Guys! I found Kat!" I turned almost immediately to see Kat standing at the end of the hall. "Let's go! This place is gonna blow!" Rachel yells. "Who the hell puts a bomb in a science laboratory?!" Alex asks. I look down at the ground for a moment. "Me." I say. "Kayden!" Alex and Rachel yell in unison.

We started to run again. This time, to actually escape. All of us were almost at the exit, until Alex heard the beeping of the bomb. "Guys. We only have like another thirty seconds to get out." Alex says. We got out of Ide, and immediately, we were lost. We didn't know where to go, and we only have fifteen seconds left. "So how far do we need to get away?" Grant asked as we ran. "300 yards. Give or take." I said as we got farther. "I'd rather give."

We got into the woods, hoping the guards would have been lost. But they were still on our tails. For all of us, it was actually quite literal. Again, a story for later. We ran farther, and as we ran faster, we shifted. Four of us are wolves, and one of us is a fox. The guards stopped but we didn't. We didn't stop running until we realized - we were standing on the edge of a city.
