Photo below is their outfit so yeah.
Walking along the sidewalks of the same, busy side of town felt kind of nostalgic and weird. I am about to meet Vivian and, apparently, Vic in the same Starbucks branch that I went to just two days ago. I thought that I'd be going through a hard time picking an outfit for the day but (since this entire "meeting" is pretty much planned anyways) Vivian asked their assistant of some sort to bring some new clothes to my dorm. Vivian and I had been conversing since earlier today when I called them. She's the one who's fixing everything and honestly, the feeling of someone doing so much stuff and spending loads of money for me is really unsettling. Then again, I agreed to this so I am in no place to oppose. I tried to tell their assistant, Taylor, that I didn't need the clothes and that I've got it covered – although that was an utter lie – but she insisted, saying that Vivian really wanted me to have them. I have to say, Vivian did a pretty neat job in picking out these clothes. They are comfortable as heck and I bet they cost so much.
Taking a deep breath, I pushed the familiar doors of the café open, being met by the aromatic ambiance of the prestigious place. I sat at a far booth near the window just so that I'd be able to compose myself once Vivian and Vic arrives. With my nerved shooting up at their highest peak, I fished my phone out from my pocket, seeing a text message from Vivian, 'We are a couple of blocks away. Can't wait for you to finally meet Vic!' it read. I let out a shaky breath, shaking my head slightly just so that I could clear my thoughts a little.
"Kellin? Man, what are you doing here?" Shit.
"Uh. Hey, um, hey, Gabe. What's up?" I nervously asked, shrugging my shoulders as if his presence didn't faze me at all. His eyebrows are knitted together, his head slightly tilted to one side. To put it in simpler terms, he looks down right curious as to why I am seated at this branch of Starbucks. Of course it's crazy seeing me here! Hell, I don't even drink that much coffee – let alone from a store who sells almost five bucks per cup!
"Just grabbed a cup of coffee, as usual. What are you up to? I mean, I can't even drag you here with me yet, here you are." He said, as if this is the most impossible thing that he could ever witness in his entire life. His reaction might offend someone if he were to react this way towards someone else but let's be real here, this is me that we are talking about. It is a well-known fact that I do not and would not, and I mean ever, spend so much money, even on food.
"Oh, you know just trying out new stuff." I said. Even I couldn't believe my own words. Me, trying out new stuff? Impossible. I am one to stick in my comfort zone. Again, I am not much of a risk-taker or someone to be so thrilled in the thought of adventures. I don't know, trying out new things just seems so eerie.
I looked up at him, forcing up a smile just so that I could somehow convince him and silently make him leave. "Okay.." He said, sounding so skeptical. Just as the word left his mouth, I see a fancy, black car pulling up in front of the establishment. The driver went out and over to the other side and as soon as the door opened, Vivian emerged from it. She immediately spotted me and shoot me that same, warm and friendly smile of hers. I smiled back but obviously, I am in a state of panic. Unfortunately for me, Gabe noticed my expression. "Why are you acting so.."
