"I don't like this." said Martha. The sheer thought of lying to their kids again made her sick to her stomach.
"I know but we don't have a choice, if they found out who they are and meant to be they would have to go to the school, and we can't let that happen, nowhere is safe for them, that's why we always move and stay as far away from the school as possible." reminded Benjamin. He knew that keeping the secret about their heritage would hurt him but he had to keep them safe, he knows the school can't protect them especially with the war going on, but he knew that they had to keep moving. He didn't want his son or nephews being trained as a hunter.
"Ben's right we have to keep it a secret for their own safety." said Michael. Mike wanted to keep his son and nephew's safe from what's really going on in the world, including the ongoing war.
"They'll find out sooner or later, and when that happens what then, that's the biggest question we want answered." reminded Anna. Anna always knew that the boys would find out, but for some reason she thinks it's happening quicker than she expected, and that frightened her.
"Maybe so but that doesn't mean they go to the school, not with this war going on and with their heritage they go first into battle, I can't let that happen." retorted Abraham.
"I agree that will never happen, as long as we live." supported Emily.
There was a sudden shock as if they knew they wouldn't live too long. An almost chilling truth hit them and they knew they would die tonight.
"Looks like we're not gonna live that long after all." said Benjamin. He looked out the window and saw two vampire's outside and figured there were more.
"Everyone get ready to run for it, Martha get the boys." told Steve while going to the cabinet to get is gun and machete. Guess he couldn't go to captain J's burger diner one last time with his son.
. . .
"Man this place always serves the best burgers." said Damien. Captain J's had the best burgers in the county and he wanted to eat here forever, it's like his personal heaven.
"You said it, these are the best burgers I have ever tasted." said Gabriel. He was 100% sure that he wouldn't get to taste something like this again.
"For some reason I feel guilty." said Josh. Josh's conscious felt as guilty as a dog chewing on a shoe.
"It's probably nothing just eat." told Sam. That was a first, Sam not giving a care in the world or the consequence of getting in trouble. It was like a burden has been lifted.
"Well, I can say I am proud of what we did, especially since our parents are keeping something from us, let's call it payback for what they been doing to us." said Damien. He loved his family but keeping a secret that involves their safety made him furious and frustrated.
"No argument there, but I do feel guilty about doing this." said Josh. He knew his family loved them and would do anything for them but why keep a secret that involves their safety, shouldn't their parents tell them so that they can be safe or what, none of it made any since at all.
"Hey we got one last day in here, let's enjoy and eat." told Gabriel.
. . .
"They're in a diner sir, what now?" asked a gang goon.
"Now we head in and kill them and the witnesses." said the head of the gang. He had to finish them before it was too late. "Is the others at the house ready to strike?"
"Yes sir, they're ready." answered a gang goon. Everything was ready for action, now all that's left is the order to attack.
"Alright then, strike them now." the head gang member flashed his pointed teeth with excitement, this is the day they've all been waiting for and now's their chance to do it. This is going to so much fun.
. . .
This is going to be so much fun, it's been a while since the last time Richard killed a flock of monsters, and now's his chance. The bonus is getting the children of the first hunter's too, this was the best day in his entire life. Richard lived for a very long time always keeping an eye on the first hunter descendants, and as always he will protect them, including from the school, he knows that they'll just use them, the only person he trust there was the principle. He needs to keep them safe no matter what, they still have to go to the school but only to learn and protect themselves. With this war going on. he doesn't think the school will keep them safe but he had to.
"Well look what we here." he said with a grin on his face, five groups of monsters, the vampires also known as blood drinkers, the werewolf also known as the lycans, the shapeshifters, the shapeshifting cowards, and then there's the wraith, the brain juice drinking freaks that you can only see they're true colors through their reflection. If this day could get any better, it would feel like Christmas. It was very rare to see all these monsters in one place and not fighting each other, even in this war, the monsters fight each other for territory or weapon to use against the hunters. The monsters always had a rivalry between each other, even before the first hunters were created. Maybe he can use that to his advantage, all he had to do was irritate them to where they turn on each other. He turned his gaze at the diner and saw the boys eating, if those monsters get to them first it would be all for nothing.
. . .
"They're at the diner, can we engage them?" asked the head gang member. He was so eager to kill the children of the first hunter he would engage without an order.
"Yes you can, and make sure that whoever see this also dies, we want to make sure no one knows what has happened here and if you see those demonic meat suit wearing pest, kill them as well, everyone wants the first hunters dead and that includes them." said Raphael. The sheer thought of the demons getting involved made the gang member nauseous. He feared the demons, but mostly despised them for also killing his kind. He needs to make sure those monsters don't get involved, because he and his men won't stand a chance against them much less run from them.
"Also sir, if you don't mind, can we get a taste of the boys before we kill them, we just want to see what they taste like, before their nothing but rotten meat and stale blood?" he asked. He knew it was too much to ask but he always wondered what they taste like and there's no harm in trying.
"Of course you can, go wild. Just make sure they're dead before you leave, and remember leave no survivors, and bring the dead bodies of the hunter's children to us, so we can dispose of them to make sure the demons or the school doesn't know what happen to them." ordered Raphael. "And a word of advice, go for the blond I hear his blood taste rich and delectable."
That last comment, made the head gang all the more hungry, and he will try the blonde, mostly because the boss said his blood is rich, it's been awhile since he tasted rich blood. He licked his lips and showed his fangs. "Looks like we're having an all you can drink buffet." he told his men, and all of them including the other monster, licked their lips in excitement. This was going to be a good day indeed.
