"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." groaned Damien, "of all the days we had to go to school, why did it have to be Saturday?" Damien hated going to school on Saturday, mainly because he goes because he got to do quizzes or tests.

"Well, sorry Damien. But that's how the world works now." said Gabriel. "Just be glad we're not here because of tests or quizzes." The boys were in a dusty, old classroom with nothing but rusty chairs, and very crooked desk that creak every time you move. There were about 29 students in the class, and the boys were in the very front of the class, because Rick, their homeroom teacher told them. Damien looked around the class and saw a one of the girl's with a knife and just twirling it around, in fact there were a few students with a knife. Why in the world do they have knives? Won't they get in trouble? Damien had too much on his head to think about that including . . . his parents. Now that's something he didn't want to think about, he can still see the blood and his dead parents, and more blood.

"Hey Damien you okay, you look kind of pale?" asked Josh. The look on Damien's face startled him, but he wondered what made Damien so pale.

"Nothing, just looking at the students with the knives." Damien lied. He didn't want to tell josh then get all mushy with the feelings. Damien hates letting his feeling out, it's better for him and everyone else that he doesn't get sentimental.

"Well, we are in a school of hunter, but yeah I see your point." admitted Josh. They just got to the school so it's going to be difficult to get use to things. The bell just rang, which meant class just started.

"Alright, I'll cut to the chase and start teaching. But for those of you that are new in this class, my name is Richard Gates. What we're doing here is extra training, and learning. Remember, the more you know about the enemy, the more likely you can kill It." he prided.

Every word struck Damien. Training? What type of training was he talking about? Let's just hope it's not too bad.

"Also, there are four new students, will the four boys please stand up." he asked.

The four boys stood up and were being stared with eagle like eyes all around. The whole class was staring at them like they were prey. Damien was about to speak when one of the students beat him to the punch.

"Mr. Gate, we haven't had new students in years where did they come from." the student asked. She was dressed in jeans and what looked like a hoody with a leather jacket. In fact, everyone wore jeans and jackets. Is that a new trend or something? The girl had long black hair, with a few strands of blue hair, she had olive skin and was holding a dagger. "Are there any more students, or are they the last." she confided.

"These are the last that we will have for a while, so it would be beneficial that you give these four great respect, Ms. Rider." he answered. There was a bit of irritation in his voice. "Now that, that's over and done, we are now starting class."

Class was taking so long, but it was only 50 minutes, which felt like days or months or even years. Damien and Josh looked at each other and got the same idea, leave class and goof off. The two boys sat next to each other so it was very easy to communicate. They basically did body language or face expressions and sign language. They did everything to talk to one another, then Mr. Gates said something that caught both of their attention.

"Vampires are and always will be blood drinkers." he said. "So you can that to your advantage. There's always a nest where they live in a certain area, that nest could be the alpha nest where all the vampires go, take the alpha nest out, it will be easy to take down the vampires." Well that's helpful, now they know what to do if they want to exterminate the vampires. Then the bell ranged and that was the end of class.

So they only have 5 hours of school then it's the whole day off, Josh can get by that. But now what.

"Josh, Damien, Gabriel, and Sam. I need you to stay after class so we can talk." told Gates.

"Oh come on, I was just about to look around the place." Damien complained. "What do we need to stay after school for any way?" he really wasn't in the mood for more learning.

"It's about exploring the school that I was going to tell you about," he said. "I'm having two students tour you four around the academy," Two students walked in the class. A boy with short and dark black hair and a girl that looked familiar.

"Hey, aren't you that girl that asked why we were here?" asked Gabriel. He was right, it was the same girl. She had the same black hair with the blue strip.

"Yes, my name is Katelyn Rider." she introduced herself then pointed her finger to the male classmate. "And this one over here is David Morningstar.

"Pleasure to meet you." David said. So no one is going to talk about the Morningstar thing?

"Great, now that you are introduced, have fun giving the four the tour," Gates says and leaves the room without looking back.

"Now before we get started, I want you four to know that you will forever be a pain in my butt." she tells them without a tone of sarcasm.

So they now have to deal with a sassy girl that hates them, that's just great. What's next, a girl wanting to volunteer to give the boys a tour?

"Hey if you don't want to give them the tour, I'll gladly replace you." a girl said from behind Kate. Yep it just went there.

. . .

"Well now, Miss Daisy is already getting on Miss Riders nerves," Gates talked to himself. "I'll never understand their hatred for each other, their parents were best friend to the core, but they're worst enemy's to the core which is pretty ironic when you think about it."

Jessica and Katelyn have been enemies since they're parents introduced them to each other. Then there was school and how they got there. Gates can still remember what happened. Fire. All there was, was fire. He can still see Kate's parents engulfed in fire, he still has the scar from the fire to remind him to do better next time and never let that happened again. Gates saw the four boys and thought of they're parents. He's been with there parents for years, in fact he found the boys the same way he found their parents.

The boy's parents were in his car while they raced to get to their parents before it was too late, but it already was too late. He never thought he would relive the moment twice. He lived for so long to keep the first hunters safe that he would keep the entire truth from them but it never work and it still won't work now. Keeping the truth will never work out because they'll just keep digging, and sometimes the truth won't be easy to take if you look on your own. Gates knows what he needs to do and that's to protect the new hunters and he won't let anything happen to them or their kids, that's a promise he's keeping.
