Blood. Blood everywhere. As soon as they got to they're house there was blood everywhere, on the wall, the floor. Then there's the bodies, all of them lying there. There's also some ash on the ground, there were weapons on the ground, that's when they saw it, their parents on the ground. . . Bloody.

"Mom, dad!" they all screamed. They went towards they parent in a rush. They tried to see if they were alive. They checked they're pulse, but nothing. One of them started to cough up blood, it was Gabriel's dad.

"Gabe, is that you." asked Steve as he's coughing blood.

"Yeah, it's me." answered Gabriel. He saw the stab wound in his chest, and instantly avert his eyes. So bloody.

"Glad you weren't here to see this. Though you're seeing the after math." he said still coughing blood and groaning. then he saw an old friend. "Well I be damned, hey Rick, how's it going?" he asked him.

"Would've been better if you and the others didn't fight the monsters." he muttered. Looking around the house and the other parents.

"Oh don't be like that, we didn't have a choice, and I'm glad the boys are safe above all." he thanked Rick.

"Who did this to you." asked Gabe. He was so angry, then he was sad, then went into a full cycle of both emotions. He wanted to kill the bastards who did this.

"Doesn't matter, what matters is that you and the others are safe." he wheezed. Every word is straining his body. "You and the other boys need go with Rick and go to the school, and let him explain everything on the way." he ordered Gabe.

"Not without you." he said. He couldn't leave him here to die.

"You have to, otherwise they'll come back, please." he pleaded Gabe. "GO." he yelled.

"He's right, it won't be long before they come back to finish you off." Rick warned. "We need to go."

It took Gabe every ounce of will power just to let his dad go. But running was impossible.

"Look, I need you to go, I want you safe, get to the school and on the way everything will be explained." coughed Steve.

With everything Gabe had he got up and ran with the others. And there Steve was lying there, then he closed his eyes knowing they would be safe with Rick. After that he saw the light. "Huh, who would've thought that seeing the light when you die was actually true." he thought then joined the others.

. . .

"So, you mean to tell me the boys are still alive". Raphael snarled. This was bad news indeed, but for the person that let them escape.

"We doubled back to the house but they were gone when we arrived, we promise to fin-." The vampire got cut off because Raphael had him by the throat.

"Always with the excuses, no matter your no longer useful." he simply said and snapped the vampires neck. "Well this is a predicament not only that they are not dead, but that hunter has found them." he noted.

"We should have engaged when we had a chance." reminded Isaac. This was a complete failing and a waste of their time. Not only the hunters found them and is bringing them to the school, now the demons know and they'll have to deal with them.

"It would've made thing much worse." told Cole. That would've made things too complicated to handle.

"So what now?" asked Alexander? Now that the boys are gone what will happened next?

"We simply wait and try to find an opening, as always." answered Raphael. As always they just wait and as usual they fight each other on deciding what to do. This has become they're biggest mistake since the Revolutionary War, and that was the most stupid thing ever to happened in the name of history.

. . .

The boys were in the car. Three were asleep except Gabriel, who was still shocked at what just happened. He's still surprised the others could sleep after what just happened, then he turned and faced the man that saved them and know their parents.

"Alright, you better start talking now." growled Gabriel. His emotions were mixed with misery and pure uncontrollable rage. "I want to know everything, starting with what happened to our parents and what were those things that attacked us?"

The man sighed but spoke in a clear voice. "Those things that attacked you were monsters."

"Monsters?" he asked. "As in vampires and werewolves, those kinds of monsters?"

"Yes, but it doesn't stop with them. There are dozens of other monsters, like the wraith, which you saw at the diner with the blade in its wrist. There are even more ancient monsters like the leviathan or Eve, the mother of the monsters. Then there's demons and the devil himself all of them are real, and want you and your brother's dead." he explained.

"Why do they want us dead?" he demanded. "What did we do to make them want to kill us?" All of this  lead to more questions, including the part of the monster trying to kill them.

"It's who you are they want to kill." he simply said with an expressionless face.

"What do you mean?" he asked, wanting to know more.

"You're ancestors are the people that started the hunting business in the first place, they were known as the first hunters, the ones that started it all." he said.

That's what that monster called them back at the diner, the first hunter. "Why chase us, we weren't doing anything." he asked. They been living in peace since they were born so why chase them if they weren't doing anything?

"It doesn't matter whether you weren't hunting them, you still have the blood of the first hunter and they don't want on this world anymore, with you gone they can target the other hunters." he said.

"There are more hunters out there." Gabe asked. The thought of other hunters raised even more questions.

"Yes, and where you're going there will be a lot of them, anymore questions?" Gates asked.

Gabe thought for a minute then said, "Why would our parents hide this from us?"

There was a long pause then, "I wish I knew." And after that they stayed the rest of the trip in silence.
