"So you must be the new hunters." Jessica said. "It's good to have more hunter, since they don't come here that much now."

"Why is that any way?" asked Sam. That question been bugging him for a while. Rick already told them, because of some war, but he just wants to make sure.

"Not sure, somebody said because of some war, but that hasn't been proven. Not only that but I heard the first hunters are the reason of this said war."

Okay who ever told her this is right on the jackpot, and that's what's bothering Gabriel. "Does anyone else knows about this?" Worth a shot asking.

"Only a few but the first person who started the rumor is a mystery. I still can't get the fact that the first hunters are involved. They've been MIA before this said war even started." she said. "The first hunters are famous, they've been known to strike fear in the hearts of the monsters before they kill them but they've been missing for quite some time."

Missing? What does she mean by missing? Didn't their parent go to the academy? These questions just keep piling up more and more and they won't stop until all the pieces are put together. Gabriel and to choose one question that might put most of the other questions along with it. "You said the first hunters were MIA? Didn't they go to this academy?" might as well ask that too.

"They probably were, and they had to keep it a secret. Other than that I'm not sure." she seemed to be telling the truth.

"The first hunters are nothing but cowards. And I believe that it is their fault that this war started, why wouldn't they. They're the biggest target out of all the hunters, they could easily take them out but they just hide like pest, they shouldn't be even in the same blood as the original hunters." she said coldly.

Every word stung like daggers cutting his skin. Damien didn't know anything about his bloodline, but he still took offence to every word she said. "What's your problem with the first hunters, and how do you know they started this war?"

"Think about it numbskull, this war starts and the first hunters are nowhere in sight. Doesn't that feel a little bit conspicuous?" Whatever the first hunters did to make her made at them must have been personal no one goes as far as calling someone a coward with a cold tone unless they resented them personally.

"Maybe they are in the war fighting but their keeping a low profile in the progress." Damien figured it wasn't, but he couldn't just ignore being insulted and his family being called a coward.

"Why would they keep a low profile in a war? Are they trying to get info on the monsters on their territory or are they just doing it to avoid attention, because if it's that then that's what you called cowardness,"

Again every word she said was like bullets, every time she spoke, a hail of bullets are fired at them. Damien had enough of this, he didn't care if he was a first hunter. Unless she has hard evidence on the first hunters being cowards then she has no right no insult them. "What gives you the right to criticize them, do you have proof that they're hiding or are you just guessing out of the bitterness of your heart." Damien snarled while in Katelyn's face up close and personal. The others just stared in shock, Damien did a lot of things, but arguing with a girl was new.

"Why are you defending the first hunter's? Did you know them, because if not you don't have the right to defend them as much as me insulting them." she growled. She was at her breaking point. Then stopped and thought of something. "Or are you a descendant of the hunters and that's why you're so defensive?"

Uh oh. That's not good. If she figures out that they're descendants of the first hunters that would mean bad news. Sam was about to cut in when an explosion appeared out of nowhere. "What was that?"

"A raiding? Why didn't the alarms go off?" on the corner right of the hall, a raid of soldiers ran towards them, with not guns, but renaissance styled weapons. They wore somewhat standard issue uniform but with ancient weapons. They were getting closer to the group ready to attack.

"Run!" Yelled Kate. Then she bolted the other direction the other's did the same and ran as fast as they could.

"Who are those guys?!" yelled Josh. They got closer to the exit door but was cut off by two of the soldiers, then they got surrounded. "Okay what now?" they were surrounded, they had nothing to defend themselves with besides the knives they always carry.

"Get to the chemical room!" Kate told them. They got to the chemical room and barricaded the door. "Don't know how long that will hold them, but it will give us time to take them down." she said without a bit of confidence in her voice.

"How are we going to take down whatever they are?" asked Damien. Whatever those soldiers were they weren't human, he knows that much. If they were monsters, they would easily break down that door barricaded or not.

"This is the chemical room, where all the stuff we use to kill and stun monsters." Kate told Damien slightly annoyed. "It's also a brewing room where we make types of potion if you want to call them that."

"So what can we use to take down the soldiers?" asked Sam. Before she could answer, Sam started seeing things, they looked like formula, it included a flower and then he knew what to do. "Is there any aconitine?" he asked Kate.

"Yeah, there's some in the pantry behind you."

Sam got to the pantry and got the flower. He then got a bowl and then asked, "Now I need monkshood and 2 tablespoons of water." They got the ingredients and gave them to Sam.

"What are you making, and why does it smell like manure?" asked Damien. Sam was in the zone. This was the first time Sam has ever been this focused before.

Suddenly Gabriel felt a sudden wave of confidence and knew what to do, he even knew what those monsters were and what Sam was making. "That's wolfs bane isn't it, those are werewolves?"

Sam smiled and nodded. "I need you to be ready to open the door so I can splash it on them."

"But that's not all, you also need us to distract them so we can escape more easily." this time it was Josh.

"I'm down, let's do It." said Damien. Looks like they got the sudden feeling too.

Sam got the wolfs bane ready, and they were at the door. "When we open the door you need to run while we take care of them." Gabriel ordered Kate, Jessica, and David.

"And what are you going to do, kill them. There in full body armor, you won't last long." Kate said.

"Watch us." Damien dared. For some reason he really thinks he can beat them, somehow he got this surge of energy and strength that can let him take on an entire army.

They opened the door and Sam splashed the wolfs bane on the werewolves. The wolves yelled in agony and some collapsed on the ground. The ones still up were half ready to fight them and the boys were ready.

"Bring it on, fleabags." Damien intimidated. One of the wolves tried to scratch him, but Damien grabbed its wrist and punched it in the face. Gabriel went behind it and kicked it behind the knee. The wolf fell to the ground yelling in pain. A wolf behind them was about to attack if Josh didn't stab in in the neck with a wolfs bane blade. "Thanks Josh, I need you to help me while Gabe and Sam get the others out."

"Got it." Josh acknowledge. He and Damien were behind the others covering them, while they tried to leave.

"Pesky hunters!" growled one of the wolves. He started sniffing the air and smiled, "no, you're the first hunters." he said while smiling.

"Did it just call you the first hunters? So I was right, you are the first hunters!" said Kate. This isn't good, now that she knows what now? Out of nowhere Gates came up to the wolf and cut its head off. Then other hunters came in and assisted him. Gates came up to the group.

"I'll explain everything once we get to my office and the other hunters deal with this. Let's get out of here." he said while moving the kids away from the fight. This is not going to end well.
