"So let me get this straight, you 4 guys are the first hunters and are trying to keep that a secret?" said Kate. They just got to Gates office and she's already asking questions.
"Yes that is correct, miss Rider. So it is imperative that you don't tell anyone about this." told Gates.
"But there the descendants of the first hunters, why would we keep that a secret?" demanded Kate
"I agree, this seems too suspicious, why can't the others know about this?" asked Jessica.
"Because they would have to go in the war and I won't allow that. EVER!" said Gates. He sounded angry. "I've spent my whole life protecting the descendants of the first hunters safe and I won't stop now."
"And how about the other hunters, don't they matter too? Don't you have to protect them too?" asked Kate. She sounded like she was about to cry.
"I will protect the other hunters, but the first hunters are my first priority." Gates simply said.
"Why?! They're nothing but cowards! They don't deserve protecting and last time I remember, they can take care of themselves." Kate yelled.
"We just saved your ass, and you're still calling us cowards?!" snarled Damien. He can't believe. He just saved her and this is his reward? "Why is your deal with the first hunters?!"
"You should know since you are a descendant of the first hunters." growled Kate.
"If you want to go another round, I'm ready." snarled Damien. He's had enough of this.
"Bring it on." roared Kate. They got into each other's face and started arguing, until Gabriel cutted in.
"That's enough!" yelled Gabriel
"You guy's need to chill." said Josh.
"TELL HER THAT!" yelled Damien. "She's the one insulting us after we saved her," he was furious.
"I COULD HAVE GONE FINE BY MYSELF!" retorted Kate. "I don't need to be saved by cowards."
"You're still calling us cowards after what we just did," yelled Damien. "You're unbelievable."
"Alright that's quite enough of this yelling," David tried to calm Kate down while the boys tried to calm Damien down. David got Kate out of the room while the rest stayed and tried to calm Damien down.
"I'm fine now alright." Damien jerked them away. And just sat down. "Besides I want to know what that sudden feeling was." then looked straight at Gates. Gates then spoke.
"Yes that sudden feeling is part of your . . . gifts or inheritance." he told them while making himself some tea and for Damien.
"What do you mean?" asked Gabriel. So they just got the sudden wave of strength and knowledge because of their bloodline?
"When the first hunters started their lives as hunters, they didn't have the knowledge of what's to come or what they were up against. So they went to a very famous witch back in that timeline who is still famous today, you want to know who it is?" asked Gates.
"No, who was it?" asked Josh.
"Hecate." answered Gates.
"Alright I'll bite. Who is this Hecate?" asked Damien sarcastically.
"Hecate is a Greek goddess also known as a witch for her uses in witchcraft." Jessica explained. "She has a few titles that represent her like, the goddess of the crossroads, and the goddess of witches because she gave birth to witches like Circe."
"How do you know her exactly?" asked Damien.
"I studied her while I was in mythology class, you'll find out soon enough." said Jessica.
