The funeral was beautiful and sad. There were only around forty two people there, Chloe's father not among them. Chloe invited me to come up and sit with her in the family section, since it was just her, her grandparents, two aunts, and her uncle. When the funeral directors were processing in with the coffin, I reached over and gave Chloe's hand a soft squeeze.

After mass, we ate the meal downstairs, and Chloe and I hitched a ride with her aunt to the cemetery, where her mother was buried. Chloe was dropped off at her house by her aunt afterwards, and I instructed her where my home was, and got dropped off.

Once I got to my house, I went to my room and locked the door. I guess I was having some extreme 'shared thoughts,' which is a term Chloe's mother made. It all started when in the second grade, Chloe and I were swinging at recess. I was going pretty high, and I slipped off and broke my arm. At the instant I hit the ground, Chloe rubbed her forearm and yelped "ouch!"

Ever since than, we both share feelings. In the fourth grade, Chloe was sick at home with the flu, and all day I felt so miserable. I was sent to the nurse, and everything was just fine.

And now, Im feeling deep, sharp pangs of sadness. I was already sad, but now I was randomly so depressed. I sat on my bed and sobbed loudly, and I knew Chloe must be feeling this way.

After I finally stopped crying and felt a little better, I knew I had to visit Chloe. I grabbed a satchel of tissues, some chocolate, and my phone. I yelled for my mom and explained where I was going, and I headed out the door. I took my bike, since it would be quicker, although Chloe only lived a block away.

I rode down the sidewalk until I reached her brick house. I put down the kickstand, and ran up to her door.

Knock, knock.

I waited. There was no answer at the door, so I rang the doorbell.

Ding dong.

I heard footsteps. The door creaken open slowly.

"Who is it?"
Asked a stuffy voice.

"Me, Chlo. Its Maddie."
I said.

The door went from cracked to ajar, and I was pulled inside.
She closed the door, and flipped on a light in the all black room.

"Chloe..."
I started.

A/N-
