My eyes widened and my hand flew to my mouth.
This wasn't just a black eye that you get when you fall on your face, this clearly wasn't an accident.

"What happened to your eye?"
Asked a girl who was two seats away from me.

"You see, I was riding my bike on the stones, and I fell and there was, like, a really pokey stone, and I fell and my eye ironically landed right on the stone and gave me a black eye."
Said Chloe in an obvious lie.

Mrs. Jones nodded, wrote something on her clipboard, and the therapy continued.

Most of the other kids were here because their dog died or they were down in the dumps because their great aunt's aunt died of old age.

These kids have never experienced real loss. Chloe lost her mother, they lost their dogs and their great aunt's aunt that they met maybe once in their lives. I felt flustered and angry, and it wasn't me thinking this. It was Chloe, but I understood.

After the therapy session ended, Chloe and I were up and halfway out the doorframe before she even finished the word 'dismissed.' This wasn't helping anyone, and a total waste on forty bucks that could be used to buy some Starbucks.

The other kids followed us, but Mrs. Jones stopped us before we walked outside the building.

"Miss. Lukasiak, Miss Ziegler, I would like to see you two, in a one-on-one therapy session. Or, you know, a two-on-one, but same thing. You two have an odd friendship. I like it."
Said Mrs. Jones, as she wrote an appointment card and handed one to me and one to Chloe.

She nodded, smiled, and walked off. Chloe and I just watched her go, then we both glanced down at the appointment cards. Next Saturday at 11 am to 2 pm. That's a pretty long session, if you ask me.

But, you know, this wasn't really up to me.

So Chloe and I just shrugged, she put her dark sunglasses back over her bruised eye, and we started for home.

My apologies to anyone who actually reads this crappy excuse for a story!! I left ya hanging for two months, and now here's a pretty short chapter. I'm so sorry! I'll update more frequently now!
