My daddy walked out on my mother
He didn't walk out on me
He would never do that to his only child
I know he still loves me
I saw him pack his bags
And grab his car keys
I saw him but he didn't see me
I guess he thought I was still tucked in bed
And sleep but little does he know I knew everything
I heard the harsh cold words he said to my mother
I saw the fat tears go down her face
And if I looked close enough outside the door that was ajar
I could see a lady in a car
So that means my mom had been replaced
Before he walked out the door he turned
He looked back and his gaze set on me
The last words he herd before he left was
"Daddy don't leave me"
And then the door was shut and all you could hear
Was the faint sound of the car starting up to leave
My mother sobs filled the room
Tears running down her face
No tears left my eyes that night
No sobs came out my mouth
Because I believe that my daddy walk out on my mother
He didn't walk out on me
