Three weeks...it has been three weeks since Kayden and I last spoke, three weeks since our little incident, and most importantly three weeks since he kissed me. These past weeks have been absolute hell for me, and if I hadn't been having to get up and go to school everyday since last wednesday, I would spend every waking minute in my bed. That doesn't make up for the fact that I look like shit though, or the fact that I have cried so much I am pretty sure I cannot cry anymore. I have texted, called, and even went to his house, to try and talk to him but I never can catch him. Eventually I just gave up, and now I don't even want to talk to him...well kind of, but I am done trying.

Both our parents know that there is something wrong between him and I, but I think for their own safety, they are staying out of it, which I am thankful for. Avoiding him during school has been pretty much impossible, considering the fact that he is in three of my classes. We also happen to sit right next to each other in english, obviously luck is never on my side. We never speak to each other, not even a simple 'hi', it's basically like we don't even know each other.

"Honey, did you hear what I said?" my mom asks, pulling me out of my negative thoughts.

"What?" I reply to her which a confused expression plastered on my face. She sighs deeply in annoyance and walks around the mini bar, into our kitchen. She reaches for a clear glass cup and sets it on the granite counters, then walks to the refrigerator to get some water. I look at her light blue covered nails, admiring the color, as she pours a bottle of water into the cup. "Why don't you just get it from the water dispenser?" I ask pointing to the fridge.

"I don't like the taste of that water, it's just...nasty." she says scrunching her nose up in disgust. I giggle at my mom's dramatic explanation. "Now, as I was saying, do you know what you are wearing tonight?" I look at her as if she's just grown a third head.

"Tonight? What is tonight?" I ask confused. After taking a sip of her water, she sets it down and folds her arms while she stares at me. "Well?" I ask, encouraging her to give me an answer,

"We are going over to the Brylee's for dinner, then we are going to watch the game with them." Shit. I totally forgot about that tonight.

"Well I'm not going tonight, so it doesn't matter." I decide.

"You are too going, they miss you and Jace and they want you to come. Especially Kayden, I know he-"

"Mom. Please. Just don't even go there okay. You don't even know half of what is going on, and I sure as hell don't expect you to understand it." I say, raising my voice.

"Woah! Now, I don't know what you guys are even talking about but you have no right to talk to your mother that way. Apologize, then go get ready please, we are leaving in fifteen minutes." My dad says as he barges into the kitchen. I give a fake apology to my mom, then exit the kitchen, going upstairs to my room. When I get inside, I slam the door as hard as I can, and jump on my bed, screaming profanities into my pillow. Letting out all the built up anger I have towards this whole screwd up situation.

When I recompose myself, I walk over to my closet to pick out an outfit to wear. Yes, I am going, but I made up my mind that I am not going to let Kayden get to me, I am just going to pretend like he isn't even there. Tonight I am going for a real simple look, so I settle on a pair of dark blue jeans and a white tank top, throwing my favorite pink cardigan over it. I walk into my bathroom and open my makeup bag, applying a light shade of blush, and some strawberry flavored clear lip gloss. When I finish running a brush through my hair, I leave my bathroom, and slip on my black, high top converse.

With my appearance up to par, I head downstairs and grab my phone off of the counter, then sit on the bar stool, waiting for everybody else to be ready. "Come on guys lets go!" My mom shouts as she races down the steps.
