[(y/s/n) = your schools name]

I looked at the clock on my phone; 7:30am. I walk to school everyday and I'm usually on time, but today I was running late.

I ran as quickly as I could carrying my books in one hand, pressing them up against my chest, and my phone and coffee I had gotten earlier. I wasn't looking where I was going until someone bumped into me and spilt my hot coffee all over me, resulting in me dropping my books.

"Shit! That's hot!" I said, trying to dry off my shirt the best I could with my hands, and trying to pick up my boobs at the same time.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." I heard a guy's voice call from above me, and when I say above, I mean above. The guy had to be at least six feet.

He bent down and helped me pick up my books. I gathered all my books and my phone and picked up my cup of coffee.

"It's— its fine. Whatever." I said, walking away.

"Hey, wait!" I heard the guy call from behind me. What the hell did he want now?

"I— um, why don't I buy you another coffee?" He asked, and I gave him a look of confusion. "I mean— I did just waste your other coffee, I'll get you another one. My treat."

"I mean— I really have to go.." I drifted off until he interrupted me. "Come on. Please? It would make me happy."

"I— uh, okay." I said, giving in and realizing there was no point to argue.

We walked into the coffee shop and said nothing on the way there. "You go get us a seat, I'll get you your coffee." He suggested.

I nodded and walked to a coffee table with two chairs across from eachother. I sat down and soon after, the guy sat down with me, placing my coffee infront of me. I thanked him and we started a casual conversation.

"So— I never did get your name."

"I'm (y/n)."

"Well, (y/n), it's nice to meet you. I'm Nick. Sorry for spilling your coffee on you." He slightly chuckled.

"You know, Nick, I'll probably get in a lot of trouble because of this." I told him, referencing to my having to go to school.

"Well, I'll try and make it worth while, then." He winked. "Where do you have to go, anyways? School?"

"Yeah." I told him.

"Oh, which school do you go to?" He asked me.

"(y/s/n), and you?"

"Well damn, I go there too." He told me.

"Then shouldn't you have a class to be getting to?" I smirked.

"Nah, free period."

We continued on with a casual conversation for a few minutes and I noticed Nick kept winking at me in a flirtatious way, which I found a bit odd.

"You know— you're really pretty, (y/n)." He said, casually, even though it was out of nowhere. Or, atleast it seemed that way to me.

When I noticed it was already 9am, I had to leave. "Well, looks like it's time for me to leave." I told him.

"Aw, you can't stay any longer?" He pleaded.

"Nope, sorry Nick. I'd rather only miss one period for today." I said. He nodded. "I insist on paying for my coffee, though. I feel bad for making you pay for it."

"Come on, I spilt it on you. It's fine, it's only a cup of coffee. It won't exactly keep me from going to college." He joked, but I still insisted on it. "Okay, fine. Tell you what? I'll give you me number and you can pay me back anytime. Perhaps, on a date." He winked, handing me a slip of paper with his number on it.

I grabbed the paper and smiled, knowing in the back of my mind that I was definitely going to talk to him soon.
