"Hey where have you been last night? You left me all alone to tend to your visitors!" Lucas complained. "I wont complain as your manager if I would be talking with investors. But God damn it Dylan, you left me with all of your girlfriends breathing down my sorry neck."

Dylan raked a hand thru his unruly hair. His mind was else where.

"Hey! Dude. Earth to Dylan. Are you fucking okay?."

Lucas waved his hand infront of him trying to catch his attention.

"I'm perfectly okay. Never been better." He answered back.

"Since when did you become better?? Have you seen the mirror lately. Look at you. You look like you lacked sleep."

Dylan had never been vain but he looked at his reflection anyways in his double sided windows. True enough he looked like hell. And he didn't get enough sleep either. He had been awake the whole time he was with KC for fear that she'd disappear in the night. He was trying not to sleep because he keep thinking that when he wake up he'll find it all but a dream. But the feel of her soft body in his arms a while ago was real, her lips beneath his was real. You're really losing it Mitchell, he scolded himself.

Somebody knocked and Lucas stopped criticizing him.

"Boss, Sir Lucas good morning," Xylin greeted them and put their morning nourishment at the table. (Coffee and toast) "Boss, let me know if the morning's meeting ready to roll. And hope you didn't forget tonight."

"Tonight?" Dylan asked blankly. Did his secretary scheduled one of his girlfriends date tonight?? No. No he can't go. It was KC's birthday after all. Even though he feign that he forgot her birthday a while ago. He had been thinking of a surprise for her. Jesus. He's asking for a divorce and yet he's thinking of a surprise for her birthday! He's a masked of contrasting ideas.

Xylin stopped for a moment. "Boss, tonight's your father black tie event. I told you it's after our gamers meet up and you already agreed," Xylin reminded him.

Yes. He did agree about that. But that was before. He hadn't expected he'd crossed paths with KC and he had already made plans. "Cancel it. I had already made plans for tonight." He stresses.

Xylin gaped.Sure Xy respected her boss a lot but when it comes to his father it was always a completely different matter with her. Lucas was shaking his head warning her to keep her mouth shut but Xy wasn't giving up.

"Boss. If you want to cancel it, you do it yourself. I don't know how you can be so cruel to your dad. Your mom already had forgiven him you know."

"Crixyline Delacosta, please don't bring personal matters at work if you still love your job," Dylan said grimly. He was always touchy whenever his biological father was involved.

"I love my job, but I hate working for a BOSS who was so hung up on his past and seems to have forgotten how to forgive." Xylin said and removed her pocket organizer from her blazer. "I am tendering my resignation."

"Jesus Christ Xy! Just ignore Dylan, he's just moody these days." Lucas exclaimed. Xylin was really one of their efficient workers from way back. She arrived one year later after Lucas and had been a very good friend with both of them. Xylin stood her ground firmly. Dylan sighed. He couldn't afford to lose her. She had been more than an employee, she had been like an older sister actually.

"Okay. Okay. I'll go tonight. But I can't promise I'll stay for the entire night." he give in. When he looked at Xylin she was grinning. Sometimes Dylan think she's the boss the way she ordered him and Lucas around. She really hit a nerve. He was so hung up on his past.
