Enid POV

I opened my eyes, confused. I was pretty sure that I had just died, so why was I awake? I was lying down on the floor of a dark room. Small, but big enough for my body to lay flat.

I propped my self up with my forearm, looking at my surroundings. It was the closet. The closet that Carl had locked me in.

I stood up, looking at the door. The lock wasn't turned. Meaning, it didn't look locked. Suddenly, I heard muffled footsteps.

"Enid?" A familiar voice called. I knew exactly who it was right when I heard it. Carl.

I pounded on the closet door, waiting for him to open it.

"Carl!!" I yelled out. I heard his adorable chuckle.

Giving up on pounding on the door, I twisted the knob. To my disbelief, it opened. Right when it did, I had to cover my eyes from the brightness.

As soon as my eyes adjusted, I caught a glimpse of Carl. But he was different. He stood there, smiling at me. He looked cleaner, happier. I couldn't help but smile back. I ran up to him, holding my arms out.

I closed my eyes and laid my head on his shoulder. We stood there cuddling for moments on end, happy that we were both okay.

I pulled out and looked up at his face. No hat, bright smile, and two eyes.

Happiness, brightness, healed.

This must be Heaven.

I looked down at my wrists. No scars. No blood. Just my plain wrists.

"I'm glad we're together again." He smiled, as did I.

I felt happier, and I could tell that he did too.

THE END OF APOCALYPTIC TEENS

EPILOGUE (sort of... I just wanted to share how the rest of them die)

This is a short chapter because it's the last one and there's not much I can work with.

RICK:

He woke up in the hospital. Except it wasn't the hospital he originally woke up in to the apocalypse. It was cleaner. Much cleaner.

He stood of the bed and walked out the door to brightness. He saw Carl, Lori, Judith, and Enid all standing in front of him, ready to start a new life.

MAGGIE:

Her and Glenn woke up in the small pharmacy in which they had first gotten together.

Maggie's baby was born, and sadly, that's how she died. Glenn got brought down by walkers.

They walked outside of the small place to see everyone they had known before they had died.

MICHONNE:

She woke up to her son and husband smiling at her. She looked over at Rick and he nodded, holding Lori's hand. Although Rick and Michonne had feelings for each other, it wasn't something that was supposed to last.

CAROL:

Sophia was standing at the foot of the bed, giggling at Carol. Carol sat herself up, curious of what was going on.

She looked to her left, where Ed was usually at, but he wasn't there. She gave Sophia a skeptical look.

"Me and you, it was us who got saved. Not him. So he didn't make it." Sophia shrugged. Carol ran up to her long missed daughter and hugged her as tight as possible.

Happy ending are honestly my favorite! Okay, what did you guys think? Did you feel better since the last chapter was so upsetting? Let me know in the comments.

Don't forget to vote, comment, and follow!

Thanks for reading!

Ps. I am sorry but there will not be a sequel. However, I do have another Carnid story that's about to get romantic between Carl and Enid, but you won't know how it does unless you check it out. It's named, "Inevitable Death."
