I'm not like the rest of my family i grew up in the wide ocean swimming over coral and gliding alongside whales. my family are land dwellers, they don't know where i was raised its my secret.. there is one other who knows my secret the one who found me , i was unconscious when he found me. when i woke up everything was fuzzy i had visions of being pulled along with the tide to small to fight my way out. in my visions there was a young boy who was kneeling beside me talking but i couldn't answer my throat was to dry and he was speaking in a toung i had never heard in my five years of life. my eyes closed and everything disappeared. when my eyes opened again i was on an island the boy had wrapped me in a long cloth and went to get his older brother. i was trying to move my fin but there was something else in it's place i sat up slightly and seen what i new as feet, i had feet but i was not a land dweller how could this be possible.
The boy and his brother came back to the beach that was surrounded by trees and the ocean. the older boy came to my side "Theo here tells me your a mermaid" i thought i had been discovered water dwellers are supposed to keep quiet about the magical world under the ocean we know as home. then he laughed at the thought."there is no such thing" the young boy theo was standing beside his brother just starring at me. "she had a tail!, she's a mermaid!". i new he had seen my tail but no one believed him i felt sorry for him but there was nothing i could do. "Lu its a miracle" theo's eyes went wide."she's a .. mermaid miracle" his brother laughed and left the two of us there in the dark. theo came closer to me. his brother Lu took me in thinking i was mute. i was afraid i would never see the whales or coral again i wanted to go home to the ocean where i belonged.
