stop Tommy," I yelled as Tommy Clark pushed me against a wall. "Not now."

"Come on," he groaned, kissing my neck. "We have been dating for three years now. I think it's time."

"Stop!" I yelled when he tried unbuttoning my plaid shirt. "I'm only fifteen. I can't do it right now." He groaned and let go of me.

"You know what!" he yelled. "I'm done with you! You never seem happy with me!"

"Because you always force me to do things that I don't want to do Tommy!" I yelled back.

"Can't you just be happy? For once?!"

"Not when I'm with you," I mumbled. Tommy glared down at me and I knew what was coming. He raised his fist and I closed my eyes and waited for the pain. A moment later, I was on the ground, covering my face with my hands. The burn was already starting to go away, I was use to the pain.

"I'm done with you little girl," he spat and kicked my stomach. All the air was sucked out of me. I whimpered in pain and got up. I looked around and saw that Tommy was gone. I started limping towards the street and stopped when I saw headlights coming. I thought how nice it would be to die, no worries at all, only peace. I made up my mind in that second and started heading towards the middle of the street. I looked at the headlights and just waited, waited till the pain came. The car started honking at me and I knew by the honk that it was a bus. I smiled to myself because I knew that it would be a quick death. Then, I felt myself falling and darkness took over.

I could feel my heart still pumping as I woke up. The air was cold and everywhere in my body there was pain. I opened my eyes and tried to get up but I couldn't move anything. I looked at the pool of blood around me and cried. Why didn't I die? Why was I still in this cruel world? As I cried, a silhouette came towards me. I couldn't see the persons face but this person had hair that was quite short and the person was actually pretty tall.

"Everything is going to be better in a moment," the silhouette said to me. It was a girl's voice and it sounded like a fairy. The woman sat next to me and in that moment I saw her face. She was beautiful. Her eyes were golden and every feature on her face was perfect. She went down to my arm and put her lips against it. I didn't feel that she bit me. I only felt the pain after she moved away. My bones were popping every which way and my insides were crumbling with fire. Fire was inside of me. I screamed in agonizing pain. Never in my life had I felt such a pain before. The fire burst through me again. My limbs were shaking and my breathing slowed. Was this what it felt like to die? Am I finally dying? Then, the pain started to melt away. Just like that, like the fire was dying. The only thing I could hear was my heart beating, but even that stopped too after awhile. I closed my eyes and breathed in but my throat was on fire. I opened my eyes and everything was perfectly clear. I could see every little detail in the world. The smoke for the bus and the pieces of dirt flying around. I thought I could actually see air itself. I took a deep breath and the burning in my throat came again. But this time, I concentrated on the smells around me. I smelled coffee brewing in a house and a person smoking. I heard people whispering next to each other and cars going on the highway. I got up and what surprised me was that I was up in less then a second. I turned to the smell of perfume and saw that same girl that put her lips on my arms by me.

"Hello," she smiled. "I'm Alice. I'm here to take you home."
