Seth's Point of View
We were at Forks and the scent of Jennette was strong. She had been here recently. Thank my ancestries that Alice was right. I sniffed the ground in front of an old beat up house. The back door of the shack was completely off the hinges and no one was inside. I sniffed again. The tears started flooding my eyes. Why did she leave? What if I can't find her?
Don't think like that Seth. I heard Jacob say in my mind. I groaned to myself, forgetting that my thoughts were not my own anymore.
But what if we cant--- I stopped myself and sniffed the ground again. Something wasn't right. I looked at the footprints on the ground and saw that there were two different ones. I looked at the footprints that were way too big to be Jen's and sniffed. I snarled back at the smell of it. It was another vampire, one that I had smelled before but couldn't figure out.
Jacob, get any vampire over here. I found something. Moments went by when Carlisle was by my side. I looked up at him and then back at the ground. Seeming to understand me, Carlisle bent down to the footprints. I heard him fill his nostrils with air. Then, he sighed. I looked at him and his eyes were in pain.
"Alec," he said quietly. Instantly, I knew the name and the face to go with it. Alec was Jane's brother, the people in the Volturi. I whined and looked at the footprints again. To the east, they kept going. He had taken her.
NO! I screamed. I started racing with the footprints, following their every move, making sure I didn't miss any. Then, I collapsed on the ground, crying out. Jennette. I whimpered to myself. I could feel my body changing into my human form. Jacob, bring Nessie over with the clothes. I'm changing.
It will be alright Seth. Jacob whispered. I heard Nessie approach and place the pile of clothes down. Then, I heard her leave. I looked up at the clothes and completely changed into my human self. I slowly put the clothes on, only thinking about Jen and how they took her. I snarled my teeth back when I thought of Alec. Next time I see him, I will kill him. I promised to myself.
