Stuck in twilight

Peter's POV

I grab a pair of jeans and a shirt from a bag that someone had left for me and put them on. I lay down in the bed and stare at the ceiling. A couple minutes later, Rose walks in, knocking on the door.
"You have a visitor." she says. I nod and sit up in the bed. Jenny walks in and pauses by the door. Rose walks out of my room, closing the door.
We stand there in an awkward silence before Jenny ends it.
"Are you alright?" she asks. I nod and she walks toward me hesitantly. She brushes my hair back with her hand.
"Jenny, we should talk." I tell her. She sits on the edge of my bed and runs her finger along my jaw. I gently grab her hand.
"Jenny, I'm sorry." I tell her. She looks down and murmurs, "I think I know what this is about."
"You do?" I ask. She nods.
"You've been cheating on me with the whore that you work with."
"No. That's not...I haven't cheated on you. Ever."
"Oh I don't believe that! I know you don't love me anymore." she says.
"You're right. But that doesn't mean that I've cheated on you." I tell her. The door handle jiggles before opening. Jenny quickly grabs my face and kisses me, pushing me back against the headboard.
I hear a gasp and push Jenny off of me. I look to the door and see Elizabeth and Nikki standing at the door. A tear slides down Liz's cheek and Nikki stares at me with shock.
"Elizabeth." I squeak, standing from the bed. I step toward Liz and she steps back.
"Lizzie." I whisper. She turns on her heels and goes back to her room. Nikki stays, shaking her head with disbelief.
I whip my head around and glare at Jenny.
"How could you?!" I shout. She stands and glares back at me.
"You're my husband. I have the right to kiss you."
"I'm not your husband. My lawyer will send you the divorce papers tonight. Now get out." I say quietly, trying not to make a scene.
She walks toward me and slaps me across the cheek before kissing me again. I push her away again.
"Get the hell out!" I shout. A nurse walks into my room and grabs her.
"We can do this the easy way or I can call security." he says. She reluctantly walks out and Nikki walks in.
"Nikki, I didn't...I didn't kiss her I swear."
"I know you didn't. You love Liz. I know that. I've known that for a while. But Liz just learned that so it will take time before she truly trusts you. Go to her." she says. I smile and pass her and knock gently on her room.
"Go away please." I hear her say. I ignore her plea and open the door. "I said go away."
"I'm not leaving Liz. Not until you believe me." I tell her.
She sighs and turns in her bed away from me. I walk to the bed and go around so that I see her face. She turns her head away. I use my thumb and forefinger to lift her chin to face me again.
She looks into my eyes and starts to cry again.
"Lizzie. I never meant to hurt you. I didn't kiss her. She kissed me." I tell her. I wipe her tears away with my thumbs.
"I really do love you Lizzie." I whisper.
"You do?" she whispers. I smile and slowly nod. I lean down and gently press my lips against hers. Her hands go to my hair and mine wrap around her waist and pull her up from the bed.
We slowly separate from each other to catch our breath.
"I love you too." she whispers.
"You do?" She nods and giggles.
I kiss her softly again. She grabs my bottom lip with her teeth and tugs at it gently. I moan softly and run my tongue along her bottom lip. She moves back slightly, breathing heavily. She glances at the door and then back at me.
"We should...lock the door." she says shyly. I smile and trace her swollen lips with my thumb.
"You sure?" I ask. She nods, quickly kissing me again.
I move to the door and open it, looking for Nikki. I find her chatting with the other nurses and wave her over.
"Hey Nikki. You mind doing us a favor?" I whisper.
"Sure."
"Could you sleep in my room tonight?" I ask her, blushing. She giggles.
"Okay. You two have fun." she says winking. I chuckle and close the door, locking it. I turn back to Liz, my heart feeling like it'll beat right out of my chest.
