Stuck in twilight

Its up!

I just published the first chapter of the new book. It's called 'In Their Universe'. Here's the first chapter.
Elizabeth's POV
The Twilight Saga has been over for nine years and eleven months now. Our ten year reunion is coming up and only a few people are actually planning to attend.
I open my email and see that there is an updated list of people who are planning to attend. I scroll through it, searching for one name in particular.
Much to my disappointment, Peter's name still isn't on the list. I sigh and close my laptop. Gavin walks into the room and smiles at me as he sets his empty plate on the coffee table.
He sits down on the couch beside me.
"Everything alright?" he asks. I smile and nod.
"Just stressed about the reunion. What will I wear?" I ask dramatically.
"I'm sure it'll be fine." he says, staring at his phone screen. Butterflies enter my stomach as I think of seeing my friends again.
I get up from the couch and put my shoes on.
"I'm gonna go shopping." I tell him. He nods without looking away from his phone and I sigh and leave the house.
My phone begins to buzz from my back pocket. I retrieve it and answer without looking at the caller ID.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Liz! I need your help." I hear Nikki say.
"Nikki!" I say smiling.
"I need to find a dress for the reunion." she says. I get in my car and turn it on.
"That's funny. That's what I'm on my way to do." I tell her.
"Can I tag along? We can help each other." she says.
"Sure! I'll come pick you up." I tell her.
"Yay! Thank you!" she says, hanging up the phone. I giggle and turn in the direction of her house.
I pull into her driveway about half an hour later. I let her know I'm here and wait for her to walk out.
Her door opens and I see her step out in jeans and a flowy blue shirt. I smile at her and she waves.
"God Liz! I haven't seen you in forever." she says as she gets in the car. She leans over and hugs me and I squeeze her back.
We drive to the mall and quickly walk inside in the direction of the dress boutique. The bell rings as we step inside of the shop.
"Oh Liz! Nikki! How wonderful!" the old lady says as we walk in.
"Good morning Sandy. How are you?" Nikki asks.
"Good. I haven't seen you two beauties in a long time. What's the occasion?" she asks. I smile at the sight of Sandy. I've missed her. Nikki and I came here for a dress for any formal events we had. I hadn't seen her since the last Twilight function.
"Ten year reunion." I tell her.
"It's been that long?" she asks gasping. I nod.
"We're getting old." I tell them. Nikki and Sandy laugh.
"Let's get started. Tell me style and color." she says, already measuring Nikki.
Three hours later, Nikki decides on a floor length red gown and I decide on a knee length emerald green sequin dress. We thank Sandy and leave with our newly bought dresses.
"She sure has gotten a lot faster at making the dresses." Nikki says as I pull into her driveway.
I laugh and nod.
"I'll see you in two weeks!" she says. I smile and wave goodbye.

I pull into the parking lot of the expensive hotel and step out, handing my keys to the valet. Cameras flash all around me as I smile and quickly walk inside.
I can't help but look around the room for the only face my heart aches to see.
"Liz!" I hear Jackson call. I see him walking toward me and I smile.
"Jackson." I say bidding him tightly. "How are you?"
"I'm great! How have you been? I've missed you." I giggle and step away from him.
"I'm good. I've missed you too. All of you." He nods and holds his arm out for me. I take it and we walk inside of the ballroom.
"I didn't know this was a ball." I tell him giggling.
"It was a surprise. Masquerade actually." he says, putting a mask over my face. He ties it behind my head and I laugh.
I look around the room, trying to find Peter even though I know he isn't here.
"Hey Jackson?" I ask. He leans toward me to hear me over the music.
"Do you know where Peter is?" I ask. He smiles sadly and shakes his head no.
"He didn't come Liz." he says. I sigh.
"Do you know why?" He shakes his head no again.
I lose him in the crowd of people, most of whom I do not recognize.
"Attention." Stephanie stands on the stage, holding a microphone.
"Thank you all for coming here tonight. It's really been a long time. First thing's first, I would like for the Cullen's to come to the front for a picture please." she says. I move toward the front of the building and get a strange feeling in my stomach.
I see Nikki and Jackson who are walking with Rob, Kellan, Ashley, and Kristen. I smile at them and they smile weakly back.
"You kids alright?" I ask them.
"I just feel a little sick." Nikki says.
"In your stomach?" Rob asks. Nikki nods.
"Me too." he says.
"Me too." Jackson says.
"That's weird. My stomach hurts too. And I'm getting a headache." Ashley says. As soon as she says this, I feel a pounding in my head. We all grab our heads and our stomachs.
It feels as though someone is sticking a knife into my gut and twisting it and then kicking my head.
"Are you guys alright?" I faintly hear Stephanie ask. I go to say something but fall to the ground as the ballroom turns black.
