The Four Seasons of Love

First day of Spring, spent sitting at the beach
A girl with ocean blue eyes walked on by
Our eyes met and knew it's within reach
There's a connection, no one could deny

Second week of Summer, I called you mine
Promised you all of me now and always
Our love burn bright and the starts all aligned
Talked our future; how she would always stay

Third day of Autumn, things have clearly changed
You say you love me; your eyes tell the truth
We used to be so close, now we're estranged
Our fleeting love can be blamed on our youth

Just like Winter your heart is now ice cold
Promises you made to me were fool's gold
