I sat on a log, watching Ashton play around with the fire were we were grilling hotdogs. I told him we won't be going by the lake again. I wanted to leave so badly, but for some reason he wants to stay. It makes no sense to me, there are plenty of other romantic places. Why is he so drawn to this place?

"Can you get me more wood?" Ashton asked, directing his eyes to me. I nodded my head yes, getting up from the log. Once we leave, I'm never comming back here again. I walked out of the clearing into the tall trees searching for branches and twigs.

I saw one, it kind of caught my attention. It was long, and had a weird design along it. Almost like sloppy handwriting. As I reached it, I noticed it had a girl's name on it, Elle, and a plus sign and another name that begins with A... but it was to sloppy and old to read. I picked it up and eyed it.

With it, I took plenty if other regular twigs and branches. I walked back to the clearing when a cool breeze blew my hair, letting chills crawl up my spine. I quickly sat the wood down in front of Ashton and returned to my seat on the log. He stared at it for a moment before piling it into the fire.

Soon, he came across the branch with the names on it. He stared at it, his face expressionless. I stared at him confused as he lifted the branch to get a better view of it. "Were did you get this?" He asked, his voice trembled a bit.

I bit down on my bottom lip as I looked into the trees. "Over there." I said, and his eyes followed to were my finger pointed. He stared at the trees for a few seconds, before deciding to throw the branch into the fire.

"Do you recognise the names on it?" I asked him, wondering why he acted so weird about it. He stopped what he was doing for a second before replying, "No."
