Elle placed her cold dead lips on his, then dragged him over to the middle of the lake, were there feet hovered an inch above the waters. I hadn't realized I had lingered towards them until my toes splashed in the icy cool waters. Ashton kept his eyes in hers, but he wasn't hypnotized, he was in love. A pain struck my heart as this realisation. I wanted him to love me, I'm alive, my heart still beats for him. She's dead, has no heart, and is only taking him because she is evil, jealous, and conceded.
More tears fell from my eyes as she left me with a wink, before plunging her and Ashtons bodies into the cold blue lake. Without hesitation, I dived in too, taking a deep breath of air before hitting the water. I swam down until I caught a glimpse of Ashton, who had his eyes closed, and was sinking deeper and deeper.
I kept swimming until my arms wrapped around him, and with all my strength I swam us both to the surface. I took in a deep breath before laying Ashtons body on the sand. It takes 20 minutes to die from drowning, right? Maybe I'm not to late? I then tried mouth to mouth, anxiously hoping he would start breathing.
Nothing, I saw nothing but a bit of blood falling from his backside, beginning to stain the sand. I flipped him over to see a wound were his heart was, blood pouring out. "Not that easy." A female voice said, her voice raspy. I looked up and saw Elle standing there, her hand locked with Ashtons. I stared up at the two souls, then back down at Ashtons body, and I broke out in tears.
"Why? What did I do to you?" I cried, pounding on the lifeless body before me. I felt crushed, I felt abandoned, I felt betrayed. Why would he leave me? Did he not love me like I loved him? I felt as if the entire universe was only out to hurt me. I ran my fingers threw my knotted hair, breathing heavily. I looked up to see them both smiling with pleasure. Then they faded away.
Then, a familiar friendly voice called out to me. "Meg, are you all right?" The dead body before ne disappeared, like a dream after you wake up.
