"Hello John!" Ali says giggling as she takes his hand in a flitatious manner. "So how do you know our dear friend Anna?"
"He doesn't" I say snarkily. "He's just some guy. Can we go please?"
"Hold up cranky. No need to be so rude!" Ali says without taking her eyes off John.
"No. No she's right. I've pissed her off enough for one day. You guys should go, but it was nice meeting you." John says.
I grab Ali and Devin's hands, "You heard the man, lets go." I pull them towards the opposite direction and we start walking as I try to ring out my now damp and sticky shirt.
"What the hell's the matter with you? He was hott!" Ali scolds. I look at her with disgust, "He's a jack ass. I mean look at me, how the hell am i supposed to make it through the rest of the day like this?"
"Calm down. It'll dry" Devin says always being the one to shut us up for complaining.
"Hey Anna! Wait up!" I hear my name in the distance from a familiar unpleasant voice. I turn around to see John jogging towards us. "Hey I'm really sorry about your shirt, I feel terrible, will you at least let me buy you a new one and then you''ll never see me again? I promise this time." He says holding his hands up in a surrender. I let out a deep sigh and reluctantly agree, as much as I want rid of this guy, I do need a new shirt.
"Hey Anna Sum 41 is playing in like 10 min and you know how much I love them, would you hate me if we went and just caught up with you in a bit?" Devin asks.
"No its cool, I know you wanted to see them. Go. I'll text you when I'm done here." I say glancing at John with a look of disconntent.
"Okay! Have fun kiddos!" Ali says playfully while shooting me a wink. I roll my eyes and shoot her a small smile that reads, "Yeah right." We start walking towards the shirt booths, both of us silent looking at the ground in front of us.
John then breaks the silence. "So sorry for being such a dick back there, both times. I'm really not that bad once you get to know me I swear!, he says smiling and flashing those perfectly white teeth.
"Oh really? Well so far you have not proven that to be accurate." I say
"Well what can I do to prove it to you then?"
"I don't know. And hey I thought you said that after you buy me this shirt I never have to see you again?" I say with a small smile.
"I did say that didn't I? Too bad. To be honest I thought we were having a really nice time and I felt that you all the sudden weren't interested and made up some excuse to blow me off and I don't that just kinda stung so I got really defensive." he says with both hands in his pockets, shrugging.
"Wow.Some one is a little more insecure than he puts off to be huh?" I say.
"Yeah I guess so." He says smiling as he looks into my eyes and bites his bottom lip.
