My Neighbor? || LAY

Part 6

Lay's POV

It's 5am in the morning and I've never been more excited. If you don't know already, I love road trips. I like driving and having Gracie in the passenger seat.

Gracie was still fast asleep on the bed, snoring away like a cute kitten. I kiss her cheek before leaving to get everything ready.

I found it so adorable how she wants to help and drive, but I'm not going to let her. Unless it's an emergency. Other than that, I'm driving the whole way back.

I clean myself up, I put on a fresh t-shirt and head out to the car.

It was easy putting our luggages into the trunk because Gracie's mother wouldn't let us brig a lot of stuff.

I make a little snack for the road and place it next to the driver's seat.

It's almost 6am now and I need to wake up Gracie so we can get going.

As I walk back into the house, I take a good look around. I might not be coming back here anytime soon after this, but it was such a nice honeymoon. We took many photos and yes, we are going to brag.

I walk into our room and pick up Gracie.

She mumbles nonsense and goes back to snoring lightly. I kiss her forehead and walk out of the house.

I gently put her down on the passenger seat and help her out on her seatbelt.

She flutters her eyes open and immediately closes them when the sun hits her.

"Aiya, already? We're going already?" She whispers and covers her face.

I nod. "Yes, princess, we're going now."

"But I didn't get to say goodbye to the cute beach." She whines.

I smile. "Fine, I'll drive around so you could have one last look, ok?"

"Yes, thank you!" Gracie clings to my neck for a tight hug.

I run to the drivers seat and start the car.

As we drive around the beach, Gracie and I sing a duet together.

"Little do you know, that I'm breaking while you fall asleep. Little do you know, I'm still haunted by these memories. Little do you know, I'm still trying to pick myself up piece by piece. Little do you know I...need a little more time." She sings beautifully.

"I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll love you like you never felt the pain. I'll wait, I'll wait, I promise you won't have to be afraid. I'll wait." I sing after her. "Little do you know I know you're hurting while I'm sound asleep..."

(Cutest love song ever. Check it out, it's called "Little Do You Know" by Alex and Sierra. I, personally, like the nightcore version. But both is great)

She stares out her window, enjoying the nice breeze and beautiful sight. I stare at her, looking at the beautiful sight and the ocean.

"Ready to go?" I ask.

She turns to me slowly. "I guess. I'm going to miss this place a lot, Yixing. It was amazing here."

I lean over and steal a kiss from her. "It was amazing. Even more amazing since I was with you."

She blushes at my old school line. "You're being sweet so sudden."

"I guess it's just my habit." I say and drive away from the house.

"Do you have the pictures that we took?" She asks while looking through my bag.

"Yes, we should print it out when we get back."

"OF COURSE!" She screams making me jump in my seat. "Oh sorry, I just got really excited."

I just laugh at her and continue driving.

"Speaking of excitement...do you think I can drive?"

I furrow my brows at her. "Huh? That has nothing to do with excitement."

"Yeah, yeah, so? Can I? You woke up really early for this, you even packed everything up. You're probably very tired. Maybe you can rest for a bit and let me drive." She exclaims with power in her voice.

I shrug. "I just started. Why not let me finish what I started. Meanwhile," I take out an apple. "Have breakfast. Or, you can go back to sleep."

Gracie crosses her arms and pouts. "I can't sleep now." She snatches the apple out of my hand.

Julie's POV

"What is this? The ribbons has to be white, not blue!" I yell, while looking at the blue ribbions.

"Calm down, sweetie. We can work with this, right?" Tao says.

"Yeah...if we were at a wedding, but this isn't! This is a fun and exciting party." I complain.

Tao sighs. "Look at it this way, if you can still make the party look nice with blue ribbon, then you'll be 10x better than anybody else."

My eyes light up. "That's amazing. I'm so glad you are my boyfriend!" I kiss his nose before running away to find scissors.
