Lisa's pov
"Lisa, please give me a chance to explain. Your mom didn't even bother to give me a one."
"A chance? What chance, Dad? There's nothing left to explain."
Tears brimming from my eyes. I had lost count on how many times I cried today.
"How could you dad? How could you,"
I could feel my eyes were getting swollen but I couldn't stop tearing. This is too much for me to handle. Mom was nowhere to be seen. She's broken. I knew it. We both broke.
"I couldn't believe it Dad. All this time I was aware that you are paying little attention on me." I paused. The pain in my heart was excruciating.
"But killing, for god sake. Killing people, especially Taehyung's father, the father to the person I love, I adore. I never thought you hate me to this much. I just.."
I slipped to the floor weakly. I couldn't continue anymore. I could feel my energy draining.
"You betrayed me, Dad. You betrayed mom. You destroyed my happiness. You crushed me and I'm shattered into pieces. Are you happy now?"
My voice becoming hoarse and my throat started to become tight.
Dad stared at me in sullen. And somehow, it tormented me.
"Lisa, I love you so much. I just never showed it. Please Lisa, trust me. I didn't do it, I swear. I would never.."
*TING TONG*
The doorbell rang. Indolently, Dad opened the door and I could see two policemen standing outside.
Swiftly, I stood up. I was focused too much on Dad's betrayal I completely forgot about this.
I heard mom running downstairs. She saw dad and the policemen. Her face shifted fron swollen to panicked and terridied. My vision started to become blurred.
"Mr Edward, we have to bring you to the police station to help in the investigation of murder case of Mr Kim Jaeil. Please give us your cooperation."
That was the last thing I heard before I became oblivious to the whole world.
