Everyone at school could tell Andromeda was in a brilliant mood today. It was more than a little suspicious that only a few moments after she walked into class, smile wide and as spacey as ever, that Adrien Agreste walked into class with a similar aura surrounding him.
It pissed Chloe off to no ends.
"Uh.. Good morning, Andromeda." Nathaniel was obviously hesitant to speak with Andromeda, with everything he learned yesterday and her tearing up in front of the whole class, but her mood seemed a bit promising for him to be able to rekindle their friendship.
"Morning Nathane!" Andromeda sounded a bit like a chirping bird with her greeting.
"You seem, rather, er, peppy today."
"Do I? Hm..." Andromeda shrugged and got out her notebooks for class. Nathaniel shook his head with a smile and turned his own attention to his sketchbook.
"Oh Adrien!" Chloe's voice almost popped Andromeda's happy bubble. Almost. "I reserved us a table tonight at that fancy restaurant you like!" Chloe shot a look over at Andromeda, who simply kept smiling and ignoring the brat.
"I'm busy." Adrien replied, focusing on his textbook like it was more interesting than the blonde.
"All night? I find that hard to believe!" Chloe scoffs. Marinette rolls her eyes as she tosses her book bag onto her desk.
"You find it hard to believe that a male model who's entire life is scheduled doesn't have time to waste on a pathetic date? I find it hard to believe you're that stupid."
"I don't." Andromeda replied, giving an air five to Marinette across the room.
"If you can find the time to waste on that cry baby, you can surely fit ME into your schedule, Adrien." Chloe growls, not used tot he two girls teaming up to shoot her down.
"Actually," Adrien finally lifts his head to give Chloe a fiery glare, one the entire class was not expecting "I don't have time to waste on you. After school I have drama practice, which, if you cared at all for drama club, you would know."
"I do care!" Chloe stumbles over her own tongue, "W-Which is why the reservations are for after drama practice!"
"I'm busy." Adrien turns back to his book, leaving everyone in the room in a stunned silence, including Chloe. Andromeda was just beginning to color in a pen sketch of Chat Noir when Lunna let out a rather loud snigger from Andromeda's backpack, causing a very irritated Chloe to target who she thought the cause of the noise was.
"You think this is funny, you obnoxious ignorant pig?" Andromeda kicks her backpack under the table and decides to finally give a bored glance up at the red faced girl glaring down at her.
"You should stop talking to yourself like that, Chloe. It's bad for your self esteem."
Probably not her best choice of words, but Marinette and Alya's hearty laughing across the room made a small smirk barely reach Andromeda's lips. Chloe slams her hands down on Andromeda's desk.
"Why don't you back off Adrien and go back to chasing after nerd boy beside you, hm?" Chloe's own devious smirk rolls onto her lips and Andromeda feels the fire in her kick up. Since she had become a crime fighting vigilante, she had a new confidence in her importance in Paris, and certainly enough of it that a girl like Chloe couldn't just brush away with some mean words.
"No."
"Excuse me?" Chloe's smile fades as Andromeda looks over at Adrien, who's face is as shocked as Chloe's by her answer.
