Chapter 9

Katherine’s POV:

After leaving the Boarding house, I walked through the woods and got to the Grill.

Walking out was the younger Gilbert with his head down.  Looks like one of his girlfriends died I thought to myself. I walked into the Grill and saw Aunt Jenna and her boy toy sitting down and talking.

I walked deeper into the grill as Jenna came up to me. Great I thought to myself I have to act like Elena. I smiled at Aunt Jenna. "Hey!" I said to her "Hey." She replied. "Is everything ok?" I asked "Where’s Stefan?" She asked. That’s the answer I would like to know myself I said in my mind. "I don’t know. Umm I haven’t talked to him." I said to her trying my best to act like Elena.

"Ok well when you see him, could you tell him that I need to talk to him about something." She said. "About?" I asked curiously "Don’t worry; just tell him that I want to see him." With that she walked out of the grill.

Smirking, I found a guy that was leaving the grill I followed him as he walked down the alley way. Pushing him up against the wall my face changed into a demons face with bloodshot eyes and black veins running down my face and two sharp fangs coming out of my gums. I hissed as I plunged my fangs into his pale neck, sucking him dry.

Jenna’s POV:

Walking out of the grill I felt so much anger build up in me, and most of all directed at Elena. How could she keep this from me? I feel as if I am not protecting Jeremy and Elena.

Hearing Elena, Stefan and Damon talking in Elena’s room about vampires and ways to kill Klaus shocked me for life and about Katherine. I wonder who that is, I needed to talk to Stefan; he would tell me the truth because he is the responsible brother and if I ask Damon he would probably be the ass that he usually is.

Walking up the to the porch I knocked on the door as Elena opened the door wearing a purple shirt with denim jeans, frowning that she was at the grill 10 minutes ago and that she was wearing all black.

"Hey, Aunt Jenna." Elena said to me "Weren’t you at the grill like 10 minutes ago? How quick did you change your outfit?" I said to her. She looked at me confused. "I was at the Boarding house today and I came home a couple of minutes." she said to me.

"But I just saw you at the grill Elena, you were wearing all black and I would have seen your car drive past me." I say, starting to get annoyed at the game she was playing. She looked at me for a couple of seconds as she smiled at me.

"Oh yeah, I umm, was just trying to see if I could trick you Jenna." She said to me.

"There is something going on Elena. Whatever it is, you better start talking because I am sick of all the lies!" I hissed at her, even though I didn’t want to be that harsh with her.

"What lies, I’m not hiding anything from you, Aunt Jenna." Elena said to me acting as if she could cover everything up.

"Really Elena then tell me, do vampires exist? And that you, Stefan and Damon are trying to find away to kill Klaus, and who the hell is Katherine?!" I said to her as she stood there frozen and shock written all over her face.

"How...did you, um, find out?" She said, her words stuttering. Sighing and walking over to the couch with her behind me, I sat down as she sat across from me.

"I heard you guy the other day speaking and ever since then I’ve been trying to deny the fact that vampires exist. You have been hiding things from me." I said to her she nodded.

"I know I shouldn’t have hid things from you Jenna, but I did it for your protection." I looked at her in disbelief. "My protection? I’m supposed to be protecting you, Elena, not the other way around. Who else knows about vampires?" I said to her, before she could talk. "Who else knows, Elena?" I asked as my eyes started to fill up.

"Everyone, except for you. I’m sorry Jenna. I promise I will tell you everything." She said to me. "Everyone knew and I’m the only one that didn’t know?" I said to her.

"I’m sorry, but I’m gonna tell you everything, and I’m not gonna lie anymore" She said "No more lies Elena." I added as she nodded her head.

An hour later I sat there shocked as tears were streaming down my face. Elena explained everything to me how Damon, Stefan and Caroline were vampires and that Bonnie was a witch and that Alaric was a vampire hunter and she was a doppelganger and that Katherine was a vampire who was her great grandmother and that she was posing as Elena cause they looked like each other and that I saw Katherine at the Grill.

The Mikealson family were Original vampires and Klaus had used Elena in a sacrifice so he could break his curse and be a true Hybrid. Isobel was a vampire who Damon had turned. Typical Damon.

I was so shocked and hurt that all these things happened and I didn’t know about and that I didn’t have a chance to help. What killed me even more was that I didn’t know about the sacrifice was that Elena was killed and John had sacrificed his life for Elena’s.

Sitting on the couch, sniffling through my tears, I looked at Elena who was sitting there with an apologetic look on her face.

She hugged me tightly as I cried into her shoulder feeling like a disappointment. “I’m so sorry Jenna; I promise I won’t hide anything from you." She said to me.

"It’s a promise, Elena. I just feel like a disappointment because I didn’t look after you guys." I said to her "Hey, don’t say that you’re the best and I love you Aunt Jenna. I did it for your protection." She said to me.

I nodded my head as I stood up from the couch and she did the same. We walked up the stairs. "I just need to think everything through. Good night Elena." I said to her. "Good night, Aunt Jenna." She said as she walked into her room and I walked into mine.

I changed and got under the bed sheets as I remembered everything Elena had said to me. Closing my eyes, I let sleep take over me.
