Chapter 17

Nicole’s POV:

It’s been three weeks since I had shown myself to Damon, Elijah and Rebekah. I had missed them so much! It’s been 150 years since I have seen them and yes, at first they didn’t take the fact that I was alive, since I was supposed to be ‘dead’, but they forgave me. I had missed Stefan the most. We had that bond that no one could break. We were connected. Damon and Elena tried to track him, but it was no use. As much as I wanted to help I couldn’t or Nicklaus will see me and I wasn’t ready to face him.

I waked home thinking about everything that had happened in my life. But mostly thinking about Nicklaus. God I love him! Even till this day I still do love him!  But that didn’t matter. I know that Mystic Falls would soon discover the secret of there being a cure for vampirism and of course I’m the one that supposed to recite the spell using all the energy that I had kept for the last 150 years to wake Silas up. But one thing kept on nagging in my head for the last 150 years. Why would Klaus kill his own wife? He claimed he loved me and yet he needed my blood?

“Katerina Petrova has arrived.” I heard Elijah speak. I was walking into the dining room to see that Nicklaus had apparently thrown a ball. “What about Nicole? For you to become the most powerful thing on earth, you need her blood.” I stood in the door way. The boys were still in their conversation.

“Im planning on telling Nicole everything very soon.” What did he want to tell me? I’m the one that should tell him. I’m the one hiding the fact that I was a vampire. He was human wasn’t he? Why does he need my blood?

“There you are love, are you ready for tonight’s ball?” Nicklaus voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked at him wide eyed as Elijah looked at me raising his eyebrows. “Nicklaus I’m terribly sorry but I have to do a couple of things.” I mumbled. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. Klaus needed my blood for what?

“It’s alright love, do what you have to do. Once you’re done, I’m sure you will join us.” We walked to our room, his hand on the small of my back. “Yeah, of course I will join you.” I smiled. I looked at him feeling myself being lied to. Was all of this a façade?

“I’ll be with Elijah, love.” I nodded my head watching him walk out the door. I walked out of the mansion and to my friends Elizabeth’s house. She was a witch. A traveller. Maybe she could tell me why Nicklaus needs my blood.

“You didn’t listen to me Nicole! Klaus couldn’t be trusted! I told you that you should stay away from him and yet you didn’t listen and married him! Nicklaus has a curse placed on him since his mother slept with another guy or werewolf. Magic made him a vampire, thus that makes him a Hybrid but for him to become a Hybrid he must drink that Doppelganger’s blood. Now what you heard was true. Nicklaus must drink your blood straight after he drinks the Doppelganger’s blood. Then he will be the most powerful thing to walk this earth.”  Elizabeth explained. She had just informed me that Nicklaus and his siblings where vampires and that for him to become and immortal hybrid he need my blood once he drank form the doppelgänger.

“When does this curse or ritual start?” she looked at me for a couple of seconds “The ritual is to be performed on the next full moon.” She said with sadness in her voice.
