Chapter 16

"Aww! That was such a cute movie!" Danielle squeals as we walk out of the theater.

"You liked it I guess?" I laugh at her as she can't hold her excitement.

We had just gotten out from seeing Despicable Me 2. Yes, we are both adults seeing a children's movie with out children.

I quit the band last week and it has been nothing but great. I have not had to worry about being called into the studio for "emergency meetings". I have been able to spend ever single waking moment with Danielle and I couldn't be happier.

"I loved it!" She grinned.

We were walking hand in hand down the street to the parking lot where my car was parked. It wasn't to busy out so we didn't get noticed at all tonight.

"This past week has been great." I say letting go of her hand to wrap my arm around her waist. I pulled her thin, lean body closer into mine and she draped her arm over my shoulders.

"It has." She smiles and kisses my cheek.

We finally reach the car. I opened the door for her and closed it once she climbed in. I walk around to the drivers side. Before I could open the door I heard something.

"That was so scary! Why did we go see that?" An all too familiar voice says.

I look around and see Layla walking with some guy. He was holding onto her hand walking with her.

"I thought you said that you didn't get scared that easily!" He says laughing at her.

"So you took me to the scariest movie possible? Everyone said The Conjuring was horrifying." She play hits his chest.

"Liam? Are you coming? What are you doing?" Danielle's voice breaks my thoughts.

"Huh?" Yeah, sorry." I said opening the car door and getting in. Layla's head turns in my direction as she sees me get in the car.

"Who is that?" Danielle asks looking out the window at Layla.

"No one. Just an old friend." I say shaking my head and starting the car.

"Oh, from school?"

"Yeah, from school. It was nice seeing her again." I lie driving out of the parking lot to my house.

"Bed! I am so tired." Danielle sighs flopping onto our bed.

Yes, our bed. She moved in last week after I got back from Simon's office. Once I knew that I would not be traveling as much, I had her come live with me.

"Goodnight babe." I say climbing into the bed next to her and covering us up with the sheets.

Like I said, I have been spending every waking moment with her.

We have done so much together. We went to the movies every other night, out to dinner a lot, lunch all the time, and we went on so many dates.

"Love you Liam." She says while yawning.

"I love you too Danielle." I say.

I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her into me so that we are spooning. I nestle my face into her hair, kiss the top of her face.

Let me just say, our relationship has been stronger than ever. We have grown closer to each other and it's been great.

I have been laying in bed for a few hours now, Danielle is fast asleep next to me. I can't get to sleep due to the images of Layla and that guy tonight.

Why am I losing sleep over this? I have Danielle right next to me and she is wonderful. I love her so much. Danielle has been there for me forever.

I stand up, walk to the bathroom and wash my face. I go to the kitchen and get a glass of water, bringing it back to the room with me.

I climb back into bed next to Danielle and slowly drift off to sleep. I have no idea what that was about, but I am over it now.
