After the feast we were escorted to Gryffindor tower by a prefect. I was ecstatic that I would follow in my parent's and Remus' footsteps. I knew I was most excited for class tomorrow. I was hoping for potions to be my first class. I always had an interest I potions since Remus began teaching me little things over time.
Walking into the Gryffindor common room I was amazed. The walls were maroon with golden accents. There was a wall of paintings. Plenty of love seats. A fire was going and made the whole room warm and cozy. I awed at every part of it. All I listened to was which staircase I took to get to the girls dormitories. Once Percy the prefect stopped talking I ran past everyone and up to find my room. When I did I ran in and saw my trunk was already in front of a maroon four poster bed. There were in total four beds in my room. Three other girls walked in.
"This is amazing!" One of them shrieked.
"I know right!" The other one said. The other girl said nothing but looked around. She had huge bushy brown hair and something metal in her teeth. I remembered her from the train.
"Hermione, right?" I said walking up to her. "I'm Delilah Lupin." I stuck out my hand.
"We met on the train didn't we. You sat with Harry Potter."
"You sat with Harry Potter!" The blonde girl said.
"The Harry Potter!" The other girl replied.
"He's just an average kid like us you know. He just so happens to have a scar and had beaten Voldemort. Sure he survived but he's still and 11 year old boy."
"Someone has a crush."
"Ew no! He's my friend who's dealing with a lot actually. He just found out about his dead sister! He's dealt with a lot and defiantly doesn't need people awing over him." They shrugged and sat on one bed talking to each other. I did the same with Hermione. Looks like I found my new best friend.
