"ZOELLA, ZOELLA" The journalist hauled after the rising youtuber.
Zoe turned to give a small smile.
"What happened to your brother? He just disappeared, do you know where he is?"
"Joe's been gone a year, if he wanted us to know where he was he would have told us" Zoe replied with a small sigh.
Zoe's POV;
I walked through the door to my house to see my smiling boyfriend on the sofa cuddling with Nala. I took his arm pulling it over my shoulders and cuddling into his chest.
"Rough day?"
"Its a year since he went, not a call, text or email. He never even said goodbye"
"Zoe" Alfie said putting his fingers under my chin lifting my head up to face him.
"Runaways don't say goodbye" He then leant in to give me a kiss which i was more than happy to receive by this point.
Joe had been gone a year today, no one knew why. It was just after my first collaboration with him went up. Something clicked in him, a few days later i heard some noises in the night. Not that sort either. Rustling, as if he was scrambling, rushing like there was no time to waste. Joe and I were living at our parents house at the time. I didn't think anything of it, that was until i woke up the next morning.
I woke up to the sound of my parents crying, i grabbed my dressing gown and ran downstairs to see what was going on.
There was a single note in the hand of my mother, it read...
'Sorry, Joe x'
At that moment everything changed and not for the better, we were getting better but we still pine for him.
"I miss him" I let a single tear run from my eye.
Alfie kissed it away and carried me to bed.
