TRUTH or DARE

KATIES POV

Two weeks after I got back, it was Wednesday evening, June 15th. Every 15th day of the month, me, Travis and Conner, Percy, Annabeth, Miranda, Piper, Jason, Leo, Rachel, Clarisse and Nico (Frank and Hazel, when they were here, they aren't right now.) all met in the Poseidon cabin and played truth or dare. After dinner I changed from my work clothes and put on a green tank top, short brown cut off shorts with brown leggings (to hide my scars on my legs), and went barefoot. My hair I recently got dyed so its blond and brown, was straightned. I walked over to Percy's cabin and the door was open. Music was blasting out of it. In there was Conner and Miranda, Percy and Annabeth, Travis, Rachel and Leo. We were waiting on Clarisse, Nico and Jason and Piper. Just then Piper comes running in the door screaming and laughing as Jason, also laughing, comes charging in after her. "I WON!!! I AM THE CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMPION!!!!!" Piper yells to Jason. He pants and plops down. "I lost! I am exhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaausted!!!" he mocks Piper. She scoffs at him and sits down next to him. She puts her head in his lap and he plays with her hair. I wish I had a boyfriend. They look so.... happy. Nico shadow travels in and scares the heck outta Leo. Then Clarisse comes in, sweaty from training.

I sit down and Travis, who was standing up talking, excuse me, flirting with Rachel, comes and sits next to me. "I didn't know if you would come," he says. "Why wouldn't I?" "Oh, um.. no reason?" "Gods Travis what did you do?" Before he could answer Percy says, "Who wants to go first?" Leo volunteers. "Rachel truth or dare?" "Oh gods, why me... Dare." she responds.

"Haha, like your last name!" Conner pointed out. Miranda punched him. Then Clarisse fist bumped Miranda.

Conner was offended.

"Shush!" Leo shouts. "I dare you to tell us the weirdest prophecy ever written."

Rachel grins, "Well there was this one from like a thousand years ago...

A hero of some sorts will rule the land

a hero as brave as superman

a demigod, none the less

a forth shall join the never ending quest

and die by the hand of the wicked witch of the west."

"Wow. I feel like I'm at comic con." Nico says.

Everyone bursts out laughing.

"Ok," Rachel says, "Piper, truth or dare?"

"I'm gonna be safe and go with truth," she says. "Hmm... is it true Aphrodite gives you advice for your relationship, even though you deny it?"

Jason raises an eyebrow at Piper. She gives a nervous glance and says, "Umm... maybe a little..... I've never been in a relationship before so I don't really know what to do and I'm afraid to let Jason down...." "What?! Pipes, I'll love you no matter what," Jason pecks Piper on the lips and earns gags from Conner and Leo. She grins and says, "OK, Jason truth or dare?" He rubs his hands together and says, "dare!"

Piper grins. "IM my mom and ask her for break up advice!"

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!?!?!?" Jason yells.

"Dude run!" Percy says. Annabeth punches him.

Jason mumbles something and Iris messages Aphrodite.

She's on Olympus watching... is that Percy and Annabeth? She sees Jason and quickly changes the channel. "Hello sweetie! What can I do for you?"

"Uhm... uh... I need advice.." he mumbles.

I muffled a laugh.

"Wonderful! Piper's ring size is about.. oh I don't remember, but she lovessss diamonds!"

Piper blushed and looked away. Jason blushes too and says, "I need break up advice."

"WHAT IN HADES! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU JASON GRACE, NOT EVEN YOUR FATHER CAN SAVE YOU NOW!!" she kept rambling screaming threats at Jason. Piper pushed Jason out of the way so her mom could see her. "Oh! My daughter! We were just um.. talking about... roses!" "Mom, I dared Jason to do that, he isn't breaking up with me," Piper says. "Ohhh! good. Wait, one sec. Yes? What? Ok! Sorry kids, Hermes dared me to dare you all to write you have feelings for on a paper and read them anonymously, yay! " and with that, the iris message went away. Everyone started murmuring.

Annabeth passed out paper and pencils and everyone started writing.

I wrote down "Travis"

thankfully this was anonymous.

Nico had the best poker face so he was elected to read them all.

"OK ready?" Nico asked. Everyone nodded. ( by the way, anything in ( ) means Nico didn't say that. )

"Annabeth, (Percy glared at everyone)

Piper, (Piper blushed and Jason glared)

Conner, (Conner and Miranda blushed)

Will, (Hmm.. I wonder who likes Will?)

Percy,

Travis, (Travis looked up from the floor and had wide eyes. Please don't look at me, I thought)

Chris,

Katie, (WHAT!? Who likes me!?!? I bet it's... ok I have no idea. But I'm kinda hoping its Stoll..)

Jason,

Calypso?! (Annabeth glared at Percy, he shook his head)

Miranda,

aaaaand 'no one'. C'mon Rachel, really?"

"No comment."

"Ok it's Jason's turn," Conner said.

It went on for a while.. blah blah blah.... and then...

"Katie, truth or dare?" Miranda asked.

"Dare." Gods I'm dead.

"I dare you to tell....Nico, no, Travis! the first secret that pops in your head. And you have to swear you told him the first one you thought of," Miranda smirked. NO. I can't. No. Ugh.

"What? Um no, that's personal..." I groaned. Miranda raised her eyebrows, waiting.

"Fine. I swear on the River Styx this was the first thing that popped into my head," I mumbled. Thunder shook outside. Travis grinned and opened the door for me. We sat on a bench far away, so nobody could hear me.

"Well, umm... " I mumbled. I have quite a few dark secrets but the one that popped into my head wasn't good. But I don't want to say the other ones. I wouldn't tell him about my little friend razor. "Ok. I've never told anyone this, but ummm," Tears start rolling down my cheek. It wasn't embarrassing it was painful. "Gods, are you ok?" he scooted closer and put his arm around me. "yeah? no? I don't know!" I sobbed. Trying to keep it together I breathed and said, "Ok, you know my dad remarried? Well whenever my dads not home, and he is NEVER home, my stepmom Anna, well, she abuses me. She used me as her slave. If I don't do something exactly as she says, she whips me. And not like mommy spanking her four year old I mean literally takes a whip and ties me up and lashes out. I bleed and then pass out. She always makes a cover up story for my scars. And that's what really happened. A hellhound didn't attack. It was Anna. My dad left for a business trip so I stayed with Anna and it was horrible Travis..." I sobbed. "WHAT?!?!?!?! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?!? I WOULD HAVE CAME AND PICKED YOU UP!!!!!!!!!!! Katie Kat, why did you lie to me?" Travis was anxious and worried and protective. Even if I wasn't his girlfriend... "Because! I've never told anyone, and... it's personal I don't tell anyone!!" He sighed and hugged me. "We'll talk later, lets go finish the game." I nodded, wiped of my tears and acted as if I never cried.

"Travis, truth or dare?" Annabeth says.
"Dare!"
Piper comes over and whispers something in Annabeths ear. She chuckles and says, "Aphrodite just dared me to say this. Ok? Not my fault."
When she says that she looks at me. Great.
"I dare you...." Annabeth whispers something in Travis's ear. He blushes and looks at me. I scoot away and look around the room to see if anyone would help me. Nope. "Katie, will you go out with me..?" Oh.my.gods. I had been waiting for this day for so long. so. long.

"Yeah sure whatever," I tried playing it cool. Piper beamed, "You gotta date for a week!"

Great. One week. I had a crush on Travis and all but how will this play out?
