TRAVIS POV

The week was over. No more dates. I was depressed.

"Dude just ask her out again!" Conner said.

"What if she doesn't like me? It'll ruin our friendship," I groaned. Why was this all so difficult?

"Look, bro. YOLO! If Gardner does like you, then you'll be disappointed you didn't. Some day you'll regret not asking her," Conner pleaded.

Fine. This was it. I'm going to ask Katie to be my girlfriend. For real.

KATIES POV

I was taking a break from gardening for a while and sat on the dock with Miranda.

"Are you sad that your week is up?" Miranda asked.

"What? Phhh... no. he probably doesn't even like me, it was a dare!"

"You think Aphrodite would dare you that if she didn't think you had a chance?"

"Whatever, Miranda."

Miranda looked at her watch and got up, "I'm meeting Conner at the fields in a few. See you later!"

I skipped rocks through the water and then someone put their hands over my eyes. "Hey, Stoll."

"How'd you know it was me?" he pouted.

"You smell like honey, from all the pranks with honey. And Conner is meeting my sister, so it couldn't be him. And you've done that trick for years," I pointed out.

"Oh, well, whatever. Look, I wanted to ask you something," Travis itched the back of his neck nervously.

"Yeah? Are you ok? Travis you look like you're going to pass out!"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Umm, look. I really like you, Katie," he blushed.

I was blushing a lot right now.

"And I was wondering... w-will you-u b-be my-y girlfriend?" he stuttered.

"oh my gods.." I whispered.

"Yeah I know, I'm sorry. It was a long shot," Travis turns around and walks away.

I run over to him and tackle him. We're both on the ground and I'm on top of him.

"YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I squeal. His eyes light up. "Really!!??" "Duh Stoll! Do you know how long I've waited for this!? 4 BLOODY YEARS!!!!" "ME TOO!"

We laugh and hug. This was the best day ever.
