Travis and Katie- a love story

The Lake

TRAVIS POV

Soooo.... thank you Aphrodite! I finally had an excuse to ask Katie out! Tonight, as ordered by the love goddess, was our first "date". I was taking Katie to a little café in New York City that over looked the whole city at night.

In the afternoon I saw Katie talking to Piper in a little meadow outside of the strawberry fields. There they had a view of the lake. They were sitting down drinking cups of strawberry lemonade. Ok guys, you haven't LIVED until you've tried Katie's strawberry lemonade. I don't know how she does it! She has a secret ingredient that the whole camp couldn't figure out. Anyways, I walked up to them to ask for a glass. "Heyyy Katie Kat! Can your favorite boyfriend have some lemonade. Katie scoffed, "You ARE NOT my boyfriend, Stoll. It was a dare. And there's some in the Big House." and went back to talking.

I sprinted over to the Big House and there was a small line for the lemonade. I waited my turn and took two glasses. I quickly drank one and threw the red solo cup away, and began on cup #2. I was on my way to the lake to meet Conner, Will, Nico, Percy, Jason and Leo. As I walked past Katie again on my way there, I gave her a thumbs up and she smiled. Then I'm pretty sure she was checking me out, being as I was shirtless.

I finished my lemonade and jogged to the lake. Nobody else was there besides my friends, thank gods. It could get pretty crowded. It was so pretty there. Trees with branches hanging down, a rope tied to one of them for swinging in the lake. The lake was more of a pond, but it was clean.

I was the last one there. The guys waved to me and Percy swung in the lake screaming, "FOR OLYMPUS!" Leo suggested, "let's go get some of the girls to swim with us," and we all agreed. I turned around and saw Piper and Katie still talking and Miranda waved to them as she walked by. Conner ran up to Miranda and started begging her to come, and I yelled, "Katie, Piper! C'mon and swim with us!" Katie yelled back, "I lost my suit!" and Piper told her she could borrow one. They waved as they ran off and headed to their cabins to change. By now Annabeth and Rachel had shown up. Annabeth was wearing a light blue two piece- it wasn't a bikini but you saw part of her stomach, if you know what I mean. Rachel had a one piece blue swimsuit with a white anchor on it. All the boys just had swim trunks on. Then I heard Piper and Katie arguing as they walked up. "But Katie, it's so cute on you!" "Piper! Why couldn't you have given me a ONE piece!?" "Aphrodite designed my wardrobe!" "UGH!"

Piper wore a red bikini, obviously chosen by her mom, and Katie had a white lacey swimsuit cover up on. Jason ran up to Piper, threw her over his shoulder, which earned him some screams, and jumped into the water. Piper was now soaking wet. Katie burst out laughing at Piper, so I flung her over my shoulder and did the same thing. Piper got a kick out of that. "TRAVIS STOLL! NOW MY COVER UP IS WET!" Katie started yelling at me. "No need for it anymore then!" I flung it off and it revealed a white bikini. Dang, she was hot. "oooh lala..." I muttered. She blushed and pushed me over into the water.

Will flipped off the diving board into the water. Katie was talking to Miranda, who just arrived. I walked over to Nico and whispered in his ear my master plan. He burst out laughing and agreed. Then he dove into the water where no one could see him. I told Percy and he dove underwater to make an air bubble for Nico. He came back up gave me a thumbs up. About ten minutes later, Will screamed "WHERE'S NICO!?" I muffled my laugh and Katie gave me a suspicious look then rolled her eyes. Just then Nico floated to the surface, making it look like he drowned and died. Will screamed and ran over to him. He started crying and saying "No, Nico please wake up please no! I need you, I love you please Nico!" "BOO!" Nico yelled. Jason screamed and Piper laughed hysterically at him and Will slapped Nico in the face. "YOU IDIOT!" Nico couldn't talk because he was laughing so hard. "Will looked around and said, "Who was in on this?" I raised my hand and so did Percy. Annabeth slapped Percy. It was funny. We had a lot more fun and then I got out to get ready for my date.
