Lylas POV

Faith and I spent the week counting down the days until we could finally leave, the days didn't go quick, but the day had arrived.

I sat up in bed and I could finally change my life for the better, well that's what I hoped we could do. I stood up and paced into the bathroom. I splashed my face of water and looked at myself in the mirror, instead of stammering back into the bedroom I stood and smiled to myself, I couldn't stop smiling . This was it this is everything faith and I had been waiting for.

Once faith and I was fully packed, dressed and ready we raced downstairs.

Our mom and dad was waiting for us at the bottom.

Our dad was smiling proudly he knew how much this meant to us and I could feel the tears threatening to spill out of my eyes from how happy I was . He greeted us with open arms and I squeezed his tightly.

"Thank you." I mumbled into his chest.

He pulled away and smiled down at me, before hugging faith. I moved onto my mom and hugged her goodbye before eventually leaving the house.

Faith and I walked down to the local bus stop which would be taking us to the airport. This was all so new to us, we had never taken a bus before we never needed to leave this town so a bus wasn't necessary , I could tell faith was nervous about the journey ahead of us and I squeezed her hand she looked up and smiled.

Soon after the bus arrived and we climbed on and sat and waited for us to arrive at the airport.

The time flew and we were actually getting on a plane and in a four hours we would be getting off this plane and be in Manhattan.
