Ch.10

   Vincent rounded the last bit of trees, and came into the mansion's clearing. Ciel and Sebastian looked out at the home. "However was this built way out here."

  "Very slowly", Vincent stated as he slid from his seat, and opened the carriage door.

  After letting everyone out Vincent leaned in to grab the packages, "I'll come back for the rest", he glanced at the stableman, "please leave the coach here for a few minutes longer."

  Vincent walked to the mansion's door, and opened it, "please come in."

  "Ladies first", Sebastian bowed and stopped Ciel from walking in.

  "Thankyou", Kassidy said as she walked through the doorway.

  Once inside Vincent walked over to a corner were a rope was hanging from a bell, he pulled at it, and the bell sounded throughout the building. Vincent joined the group soon after.

  "What was that fo...", Ciel began to ask, but was cut off by the sound of a door closing.

  Servants appeared from a hallway, there were three of them.

  "These are Lady Kassidy's group of servants, Mira is the maid and also helps Lady Kassidy with what she needs that I can not help with. Next is Chef Michael, his title speaks for himself. Lastly this is Edgar, he lends a helping hand wherever necessary. We also have two stableman, but you will probably not see them a lot", Vincent stated proudly.

  Vincent started again, "Lady Kassidy has welcomed these as our guess, please insure they get the best treatment. Mira I was in rooms 200 and 201 this morning cleaning, I believe those are the most suitable for our guess, please make the beds and insure everything is good, Edgar please help her, then go to the kitchen to help Chef Michael. Chef Michael we have plenty to go around please insure everyone can have their fill."

  They all bowed and yelled yes sir.

  "I will check in on all of you in a little while, but if you excuse me, I got wet today, and I do not look very  presentable for a Halsted butler.

  All the servants broke to do their task, Vincent led the group to the parlor, and dismissed himself, "I will be back shortly to serve tea, please excuse me."

  Once Vincent walked out Kassidy leaned back in her chair, "sorry about him, he runs this place as though it were a navy vessel.

  "It's alright, that I believe is the picture of a good butler", Sebastian corrected.

  "So if you are a Marchiones then you protect this entire region?", Ciel questioned again, not letting go of the topic.

  "Yes, you as a Phantomhive serve as the Queen's guard dog, I as a Halsted serve as the Queen's knight. Just like a knight I protect the region. Thankfully, Vincent serves as a great sword, and shield, my servants also are trained warriors.", she looked at Ciel intrigued, "yes I know you are the Queen's guard dog."

  Ciel sat back in his seat, "So you also know my servants serve as warriors as well."

  "It may have crossed my mind", Kassidy stated with fire in her eyes.

  Just then Vincent walked in, "oh my, what have I missed."

  "I think our Master's have reached an agreement", Sebastian laughed.

  "Okay great, then let's reach our agreement, I'm not going to say this lightly, I know your a demon, you know I'm a demon. I have no interest in your young Master, I have already reached my limit of how many souls I can consume. I have a contract with Lady Kassidy, to protect her against the things that want her soul, you had better not try anything with her", Vincent grinned. Ciel sat dumbfounded, and Kassidy looked at Vincent shocked. Sebastian sat there smiling back.

  "You have a deal", Sebastian laughed.

They both shook on it.

  "Okay who is ready for tea", Vincent walked out of the kitchen with his cart. "We have a special tea from Romania, I'm sure all of you will enjoy."

  Vincent looked at his pocket watch, Mira came to the door, "the rooms are ready for your inspection sir."

  "Good, please do have me excused, also dinner will be ready soon", Vincent slid his watch back into his pocket, and followed Mira to the rooms.

  "I can't believe he went that far, I don't even know what to say besides apologize to you Mr. Sebastian", Kassidy sat in surprise.

  "It's quite alright, he is an older demon, I am technically still young, he isn't afraid of stating the obvious anymore", Sebastian laughed, "Your father was his last soul wasn't he, it was just staged to be an accident", Sebastian looked more seriously.

  Ciel even stopped drinking his tea to listen.

  "Yes, my father was the last, now Vincent serves me, because I was practically raised by him, he knew I was a target to others."

  Vincent walked in, "your rooms are ready, please follow me", Vincent picked up a suitcase, and began to walk out, Sebastian picked up the other two and followed.

  Once at the rooms Vincent opened the doors, "you can decide who gets which room. Dinner will be in a few minutes, I will come and get you when it is ready."

  Vincent then looked at Kassidy, "My Lady please go get ready for dinner."

  "Will you send Mira to my room, I'm going to put on one of the new dresses", Kassidy asked.

  Vincent bowed, "yes my Lady."
