Ch.13

  "I can't believe this prophecy is almost ended", Kassidy stated as Vincent poured her tea, "pour yourself some too if you like."

  "Thankyou my Lady", Vincent began pouring the tea, he handed a cup to Kassidy who was looking out the window, he then joined her, "a beautiful night."

  "Yes it is", Kassidy said as she sipped her tea.

  "Has it become more real to you,  my Lady?", Vincent became curious.

  "Yes a little, though I already knew I was dying", she said as clutched her stomach, "I never thought I would be cheating death. How many nights have reapers visited me.

  "I believe four now, that means you were suppose to die four nights ago", Vincent met Kassidy's eyes.

  "What is it going to be like to be demon?", she was intrigued.

  "You will find out soon enough", Vincent's eyes began to glow with the beautiful blue, "what time would you like to go to bed tonight?."

  "I wish to see my visitor, I am the Lady of the house, I should be respectful, shouldn't I", Kassidy grinned.

  "My Lady it is much to late, and you get cranky without sleep", Vincent stated worriedly.

  "It is the respective thing to do", Kassidy sipped her tea.

  "As you wish", Vincent bowed, have you any idea what I'm protecting our guests from, or are we just waiting to see."

  "It have no idea", Kassidy looked at the floor, "all I know is my father said he would know when he saw it."

  Vincent looked out into the darkness, he looked at his pocket watch, "He will be here around twelve", he stated.

  Ciel finished his tea, and layed in bed, "I can't believe what you are telling me, so she is dying, but there is a prophecy, about her protecting an Earl, that's a lot of information."

  "But it is all true."

  Ciel jumped from bed, and Sebastian quickly turned to the doorway.

  "I'm sorry for the interruption, but your door was ajar, so I thought I would sneak in to grab the tea tray on my way to the kitchen", Vincent smiled, "I do apologize for startling you."

  "It's alright. Protect the Earl from what?", Ciel asked.

  "She hasn't any idea, but when she sees it she will know", Vincent grabbed the tray, "please do rest."

  Vincent walked out, and Sebastian shut the door behind him, "he is very good at popping in unexpectedly."

  "Yes so are you", Ciel shot back.
 
   Sebastian went about his duties of preparing Ciel for bed, "I may come in every now and then to check on you."

  "Alright", Ciel layed down, and Sebastian covered him up, "will you stay in here until I fall asleep."

  "Yes, my lord", Sebastian bowed, he walked to the door, then blew out the candelabra, "goodnight."

  It was eleven fifty, when a knock came at Kassidy's door, "enter", she replied.

  Vincent walked in, "are you ready for a fight", Vincent joked.

  "I'm ready to get this over with", Kassidy yawned.

  "I knew you would be tired", Vincent frowned, "after this you are going straight to bed."

  Suddenly there was the sound of a window opening, in Kassidy's bedroom. Vincent stepped out to sneak to the room.

  Vincent quietly opened the door a crack, he could hear the reaper complaining.

  "Now where is she, first it's the butler, then it's the white demon wolf with piercing blue eyes, then the butler, now she is not here, this is the fifth night."

  Vincent opened the door wider, "that's the point."

   The reaper spinned around quickly, "you again, she can't keep cheating death, one day that illness will entirely win, and she will die in pain."

  "We will see about that", Kassidy stood in the doorframe.

  "Your awake tonight", the reaper looked her away, "none the less, I must collect."

  He ran at Kassidy, but Vincent stopped him, "not so fast."

  Kassidy sat on a seat, "so are you only here for me, or is there another reason."

  The reaper looked at her, "well it just so happens that you are not the only one who cheats death, you have a guess that is on our list as well."

  "Vincent this is what we you protecting Ciel from", Kassidy spoke, and Vincent looked over his shoulder at her, "he is a stronger reaper than others, be careful."

  "Yes my Lady, I wasn't sure if I was the only one who sensed his strength", Vincent looked back at the reaper, "so you came every night to collect, and see if our guest were here."

  "Why not hit two birds with one stone", the reaper looked at Kassidy, "are you ready to leave this world."

  "Not at your hands", Kassidy argued, "Vincent you know what to do."

  "Care for some help", Ciel called from the door, Sebastian stood behind him, "we figure this is somewhat our fight, since he wants me, we can help", Ciel smiled, "Sebastian, protect me."

  "Yes young master", Sebastian walked forward smiling.

  Ciel joined Kassidy, "don't look surprised, Sebastian was getting fat not doing anything", Ciel sat down.

  The fight began, and it was bloody. Vincent and Sebastian worked well together, "we must do this more often", Sebastian joked.

  "I have no plan to fight this guy again, he will die tonight", Vincent stated in mid kick, "my Lady are you prepared for the consequences of destroying a reaper."

  Vincent turned to Kassidy as the reaper fell to the ground. "It is heavily punishable."

  "Need I repeat", Kassidy said as she reached her finger to her neck, and made a slitting motion, the ring began to shine because the ring held the contract between Vincent and Kassidy, "finnish him."

  Vincent's eyes began to glow with the ring, "yes my Lady."

  In one fatal blow the reaper was finished, his body lay on the ground.

  "Well that was fast, for an old demon you work fast", Sebastian looked amazed.

  "Alright everyone it is bed time, please get cleaned up", Vincent commanded.
