The Four

I unlock the door and set Keahi down. Instantly he starts to sniff around. That's normal I guess, considering this is a new place to him. I shut the door and go into the kitchen. I grab me a Gatorade and open it up. I take a sip and smile, I love this stuff. I sit at the table and watch Keahi do his thing.

I'm actually really happy I got him, he can help me out a lot. Bro, I wonder if I would be able to get him registered as a service dog. That would be great. He finds a place he likes and lays down. He is such a cutie. My doorbell rings and I go and answer the door. Standing in front of me is a girl about my age with short brown hair. She has piercing blue eyes and a little button nose.

"Hey can I help you." I say almost rudely.

"Hi my name is Scarlet I was just wanting to welcome you into town. I live down the road a ways and saw you moving your things in this morning."

"Uh thanks I guess. Is there anything I can get you?"

"No I'm good and I have to leave, my parents are expecting me. I hope to see you at school tomorrow!"

She waves and leaves. How can she be so cheery. I didn't think it was possible to be that cheery. I shut my door and go into the living room. I turn in the tv and turn on my favorite tv show.The name of the show is called, Awkward. This is the episode where Jenna has to choose between Matty and Jake.

I watch about 4 episodes before I decide that I should make dinner, after all it is 5:30-ish. I go into the kitchen and get out a bag of shrimp and some vegetables. I'm making fried shrimp with grilled vegtables on the side. It takes me about 30 minutes to make it all but when I do it smells so good. I get a plate and sit at the table. While I'm eating I start to think of the second time They found me.
Flashback

It was a Friday and I was running late for school once again. I grab my bag and head to the living room of my one bedroom apartment. I grab my keys and go outside. Almost instantly I am grabbed by two big meaty hands. I thrash around and try to get out of their grip to no prevail. They put a bag over my head and throw me into a car. They tie up my hands and hit me over the head. Seconds later I am consumed by darkness.

I wake up to find myself in a dark and damp room. It's freezing and I can't see a thing. I try to stand up but fall back down with a small scream. I reach down and feel my left leg. They stabbed a knife through my leg. WHAT THE HELL! They made sure I wasn't going to walk?

I pull they knife out and throw it to the side. I take off my top shirt and tie it around my leg to stop the bleeding. I grimace in pain as I start to tie it tighter and tighter. I lean my head against the wall and wait for one of them to come get me.

A few minutes later I heard footsteps echoing in the hallway outside of the room. Lets get this over with. I summon all the energy I can and heal my leg. That feels so much better. A man walks in and throws something at me. I pick it up try to feel what it is. The object is hard and round, there is what feels like a cap on top of it.

"It's water. Now drink it. You are going to need your energy." The man says with annoyance clear in his voice.

I take off the cap and drink it all in. Why are they keeping me hydrated? What are they going to use my powers for? I use both of my hands and stand up. I summon the elements to get me out of here. It doesn't work.
Flashback over

I shake my head and clear off the table. I wash off my plate and go up to my room with Keahi following close behind. I get out my computer and look at the map of my land. There is a clearing that is far away but still on my land, I can use that to practice. I shut my computer and go outside.

I start to walk in the general direction of it with Keahi still following me. I think he has abandonment issues. After ten minutes of walking I reach the clearing. It's small but it will work perfectly. I sit in the middle of it and do my breathing exercises. I do these so that I can learn how to control myself when I get angry. I do it so I don't kill somebody again.
