Alex: Hey guys..... Sorry for not updating sooner. A lot of things happened and finally lacrosse season is over with. I have time to myself now. I promise updates will be more frequent. So let's get Gandalf to help us today!!

Gandalf: Hello children.

Alex: We are not kids.

Gandalf: Any how, Alex doesn't own the Hobbit characters. She only owns Rosaria. Now if you excuse me. I need to find the little one.

Alex: What did she do this time?

Gandalf: That remains to be seen.

Alex: 0.o Ooookayyyy. On with the story!!!

It is morning; the dwarves are hiking along the path away from Rivendell.

"Be on your guard; we're about to step over the edge of the Wild. Balin, you know these paths; lead on." Thorin says.

"Aye." Balin agreed with his leader. Bilbo turns around and looks back at Rivendell, longingly.

"Master Baggins, I suggest you keep up." Thorin tells the hobbit. The dwarves and Bilbo continue on their journey.

"Thought you could leave without me? Do you sir?" a feminine voice called from the shadows.

"Show youself." Thorin ordered. The girl stepped out and looked at the company. They looked at her and the back at Thorin.

"She might be able to help us Thorin. She can shift into a wolf, so she might be able to tell us how close our enemies are to us." Balin told him. Thorin nodded to him and then looked to Dwalin.

"I don't see a reason not to let her come. She might be like you nephews and follow us anyway if you said no." Dwalin said and looked at Rosaria. Her face glowed a bright red from his logic. He nodded knowing that he is right.

"Alright lass. You may come along, but we will be watching you." Thorin said. She smiled and nodded to him.

"My name is Rosaria. Pleasure to be traveling with you all." She introduced herself with a smirk on her face.

Back in Rivendell, Gandalf and Galadriel are the only ones remaining in the pavilion.

"You will follow them?" Galadriel asked.

"Yes." Gandalf answered.

"You are right to help Thorin Oakenshield. But I fear this quest has set in motion forces we do not yet understand. The riddle of the Morgul blade must be answered. Something moves in the shadows, unseen, hidden from our sight. It will not show itself, not yet. But every day it grows in strength. You must be careful." Galadriel told him.

"Yes." he again answered. Gandalf turns and starts walking away. When he has gone a short distance, Galadriel speaks again.

"Mithrandir? Why the Halfling?"  She asks.

"I don't know. Saruman believes that it is only great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found. I've found it is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk, that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps it is because I am afraid, and he gives me courage." He explains. Galadriel suddenly appears in front of Gandalf, and she takes his old, weary hands in hers.

"Do not be afraid, Mithrandir." telepathically she tells him. "You are not alone." She then spoke aloud. Galadriel tucks a loose strand of Gandalf's hair back. "Ae boe i le eliathon, im tulithon."  (If you should ever need my help, I will come.) she says in Elvish. Gandalf bows, and Galadriel gently moves her hands away from his. Gandalf looks up, and Galadriel has disappeared.
