(Hello people! I'm sorry for not updating in forever. But I fell out of the fandom for a little bit and then, somehow, last night, I fell back in. Also, I have decided to change the tense of my story from past to present to make it easier to write. I love you all!)
"I just think the movie could've been at least a little more accurate to the book," you say to your best friend, Martha, while walking back to her house from a movie.
"Oh, get over it, (Y/n)," she replies. "It's not life-or-death."
"It is!" You clutch your heart dramatically and fall onto your knees. You reach your hand out toward the sky. "I see the light!"
"Oh my God," Martha says, rolling her eyes. "All right. I'm going home without you." She starts to walk away.
"Wait!" you yell, getting up. "I'm sleeping over! My parents won't come and get me!"
"Then hurry!"
You jog to catch up to her. When you get there, you put your hand on her shoulder. "You are a very mean person," you say.
"I know." Martha smiles.

You toss a movie box across Martha's room to her so that you two could watch it. She catches it with one hand (softball players, man) and pops it open.
While her back it turned to you, you hear a tap on your friend's glass door to her balcony, which is behind you. Lo and behold, Donnie is standing on her balcony, bo staff in hand. You pin-wheel back, completely and utterly stunned. How the heck did he find you?
You motion for him to back up. He does so he can't be seen by Martha.
"Uhhhh...Martha?" you ask.
"Yeah?"
"I'm gonna step out onto your balcony for a second. I feel light headed."
"All right. You okay?"
"I will be," you say, sliding the glass door to the balcony open. You shut it quickly and walk over to the purple-clad turtle. "Okay. Spill. How did you find me?"
"I saw you standing by the door while passing over the building and thought I'd drop in and say...hi," he says, looking down.
"Okay," you say, blushing. "Hello, Donnie."
"Hello, (Y/n)."
You stand there for a couple of seconds before speaking again. "Uhh, I need to get back in there. My friend is probably--"
"Do you want to go on a date with me?" Donnie blurts out. He then covers his mouth quickly. "Sorry," he says, parting his fingers. "That was not supposed to be said out loud."
"No, that's okay!" you say, holding out your hands. "I-I would like very much to go on a date with you."
"Really?" he says, a smiles playing across his face.
"Really," you say, hugging your arms. "So, when should we have this date?"
"How about tomorrow night?" he suggests. "We could...have a midnight picnic or something."
"That sounds wonderful," you say, stepping toward the door. "See you tomorrow."
"Bye," he says, doing a small wave.
Once inside Martha's bedroom again, you close the door and run over to her, grabbing her shoulders. "Quick!" you say urgently. "What does one wear on a date?"
