"You already know he's been tryna get with me for years. I'm like I don't even what you're broke ass." She laughs. I just smile. I know what you guys are thinking. 'How could she be your best friend?'
We've been best friends since freshman year. We would do anything for each other. She had her driver drop me off infront of my house.
"It's freaking 9:00 already. We weren't even shopping for that long.""I know right." I agree. "Well, I gotta go. See you later."
"Later babydoll" I smile and grab my new clothes and head for the door. When I open the door, I see the lights are off. No one is home. Thanks god. I sit on the couch and sigh. I just lay there for a second.
I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. I soon hear footstep from upstairs. I look.
"Mom? Dad?" I shake my head. Did they come back from Hawaii already? The steps slowly started making it way down the staircase. They sounded to hard to be my mom's and to soft to be my dad? There's someone in the house. I start breathing rapidly as I pull out phone only to see it's dead. I run for the house phone and Press 9-1-1. I run into the kitchen and whisper as soft as I can.
"9-1-1 what's-"
"There's some one in the house." I said shakily getting ready to cry.
"What's your address?"
"1346 harvest place-" I stop when I see the robber standing right infront of me. He had my parent jewelry box which is worth millions. He also had $50,000 dollars in the another hand. He had a mask over his face but his eyes were visible. He stared me in my teary eyes with his brown ones. I almost didn't want to look away.
He slowly backs up and quickly puts everything in his hands, and in his pockets on the table and runs out of the house.
The police arrive a minute later. I sat in the kitchen men floor curled up in ball. Not crying, I was just thinking about him. How could he come to steal stuff then drop everything and run?
"Ms. Wademoore. Can you describe what the robber had on?"
"Black pants, black shirt, and black ski mask."
"Very good. What did he take?"
"Nothing." I stare at the wall. "He took absolutely nothing." I look back up at the police officer." all the stuff is on the table."
"Where are you parents?"
"Vacation."
"You know you're holding up pretty well for someone who was about to be robbed." I shrug my shoulders.
