Shamus lasted a few hours before he sought Harry out to apologise and fall just short of begging Harry to forgive him. Harry replied it wasn't his place to forgive him for no wrong had befallen Harry. So Shamus asked Daphne for forgiveness. Once she accepted Harry told Shamus all was good between them. Blaise turned up the middle of the next day and much the same thing happened. "Blimey Harry, it's like you lead this little group." Draco mused.
"I'm not sure I want that to be how you all see me." Harry mumbled. "But I guess you're right."
"Yes well, I don't think just anyone could have handled that fight like you did." Draco mumbled.
"Harry?"
"Yes Daphne."
"I wanted to thank you for caring. Even though Draco, Blaise and I are in Slytherin you've been so kind to us."
"There's no need for thanks Daph, house shouldn't matter amongst us anymore, we are family in my books, how's your arm?"
"All healed thanks to Madam Pomfry." Daphne said holding up her arm for Harry to see. "It wasn't a bad scratch in the first place."
"Where's Eames?" Draco's guard Elise asked.
"Professor McGonigal wanted to speak with him." Harry replied. Harry was perched up in the large oak tree in the field while Draco and Daphne were below him leaning against the trunk. Elise and Daphne's guard Samuel stood on either side of the tree. Colin and his guard Flora walked over and Harry scooted up the branch so Colin could sit beside him. The boy had mellowed out since he'd begun to spend more time with Harry, not feeling a need to express his undying admiration so loudly anymore. It was peaceful in the field once again, but all good things seemed to fade quickly. A stranger was in the fields not accompanied by any professor or guard. Instinctively Blaise who'd been swimming in the pond leapt out and took off into the willow tree near by where he couldn't be seen. Shamus, in his dog form wriggle behind a statue out of sight. Hannah took off into a patch of long grass. As Colin climbed up out of sight Harry pulled Daphne and Draco up into the tree where they also hid in the leaves, hiding when a potential threat entered their safe area was a natural reaction for the submissives. The guards stiffened and prepared for the best, the worst and everything in between. That being said they weren't prepared for Harry remaining insight, Luna said she was going to come to the field a little while ago and he wasn't going to leave her at the mercy of a stranger, he morphed into the agile winged cat he'd grown accustomed to. Just as he suspected Luna walked into the field a few seconds later. The stranger made a beeline for her and Harry leapt from the tree and growled circling the stranger. Luna seemed to know what was going on once he did and snapping out of her usual daze she glared at the stranger.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, her usual dreamy voice had taken a hard edge to it. The stranger had frozen as soon as Harry'd begun to circle him. "This place is off limits unless accompanied by a teacher." One of the man's eyes was fake and magical, it spun around looking from Harry to Luna while his other, normal one stayed on Luna.
"I... Was curious." The man said. Harry snarled and continued to circle waiting for any signal to rip the mans arms off. "I'm the new Professor for Defence Against the Dark Arts." Harry paused and eyed the man, who eyed him back tenfold. That eye creeped Harry out. With a snarl Harry positioned himself between Luna, the man smelt funny,
As though his scent wasn't true. Harry didn't like it. "Control your pet please, I don't like being growled at."
"He's not my pet. He's a student." Luna replied coldly. "You better leave sir, even if you are a new teacher we don't know you, and our guards don't take kindly to strangers."
The man was now watching Harry fully which agitated Harry even more. A low growl rumbled in his chest and progressively got louder. The man got the hint and quickly turned around to come face to face with Eames and McGonigal. "Alistair, what are you doing here?" McGonigall asked. "I told you not to come unless accompanied by Severus or myself."
