Colton's pov
"how about, I'll take you up to your room. we saw in your profile that you'd like a loft type thing and the 3rd floor is a loft. it's yours now," Tony said helping me with my bags.
"thank you!" I said.
"you can do whatever you want with it. like we don't care at all."
"this is the best thing in the world!" I said. I looked around for a minute and Tony set down my bags. there was this one smaller wall and I wanted to cover it with my posters and other pictures.
Tony started walking off but I grabbed his wrist back, "can you help me hang up my posters?"
"sure." we spent the next 30 or so minutes doing that. I have a shit ton of posters. "do you want to meet all these bands?"
"I'd love to. but there's so many and not enough time."
"what do you mean not enough to time?"
"fuck," I muttered. "I'd rather not talk about it now."
"okay, anytime though. I'll be there."
"thank you," I said and hugged him.
he left my room and I finished it up. there was this really cute brick wall with a fire place. I'm going to paint it white along with the already white walls everywhere else. by the time I was done fixing up my room, well doing what I could at least, it was 4:30. I walked down stairs to find all the guys in the lounge.
"hey Vic, do you think we could go to target so I can get some stuff?" I asked.
"sure. do you want all of us to come or just one?"
"all of you!" I yelled as I was in the hallway putting on my shoes on.
"okay. let's go!" he yelled back. cool.
we arrived at target and got some stuff. I got white sheets and pillowcases, a black faux fur blanket, a grey tone rug, a white and black desk, a bedside table, a few clothing items, and the live and unplugged album by sleeping with sirens. we took the stuff back to Vic's car and then I still needed paint and painting supplies.
"hey Vic," I said. "I want to paint that brick wall. I'm gonna go get some paint and stuff from Home Depot."
"I'll wait here. take someone with you."
"Tony?"
"sure." we walked into Home Depot and I found my way to the paint.
"white?" he asked.
"yes."
"black?" he asked again.
"yes."
"brushes?" he asked once more.
"yes."
"you know you're really pretty right?" he spoke.
"yes... wait what?!" I said loudly catching me off guard.
"you, Colton, are extremely pretty. but," he said holing out the 'u'. "you're a minor."
"not for long," what was I talking about? was I okay with Tony hitting on me? of course I was.
"what do you mean?"
"my birthday is coming up soon. I'll be eighteen. then if you'd like, we could try us." what am I doing? I'm jumping to conclusions. he was probably saying that just to be nice.
"or, we could go ahead and try us, and come out as being together on your birthday," he suggested.
"yes please!" I said and hugged him tightly. we walked to the cashier and he had his hand around my waist the whole time. we checked out but when we got to the sliding doors he let his hand drop and we made our way to the car.
"so Colton," mike started.
"yes?"
"what all are you gonna be doing to your room?" he asked.
"I've got ideas. I think it'll turn out really great."
"will you need any help?"
"oh," I said. "Tony said he was going to help me paint the wall, like the higher spots I can't get to."
"okay. well is you need anyone else to help just ask," he spoke one last time.
I nodded and then plugged in my earbuds. 'action cat' by Gerard way played. (we're just gonna pretend that his solo album and Frank's other album came out when mcr was still together, okay? okay. :))
seeing as it was nearing 6:00 the traffic was bad and it took a little while to get home.
"tone?" I asked as we walked into the house.
"yes?" he answered.
"I'm tired so I think I'm just going to do smaller things tonight and paint tomorrow. wanna help me put my desk together?"
"sure," he said and followed me up the stairs. we got to my room and he started to take everything out of the box and I made my bed really quick. white sheets and black blankets. ahh it was so pretty.
Tony and I put together my desk and got all of my other things on it. I have some other things that I'll have to make first before I can set them up. I pulled out a small black box, that had multiple things in it; razors, all my saved money, and a couple of old pictures of my family, and an old picture of my brother. I don't really remember him. it's like the orphanage brain washed me. I sat down on my bed next to Tony and opened up the box to count my money. yes, I finally have enough for the two things I want. a record player and a Mac. I already have a ton of records I've found at the studio. I placed the box back on my desk and just stood there for a moment. I soon felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. but sadly the box was still open.
"why?" Tony asked.
"it helps me. but I haven't done it in a long time. I've found something else," I said.
"something other than music?" he asked.
"yes, it was a while back. I was playing truth or dare with some of the kids at the orphanage. it was my turn and I chose dare being the stupid girl I am. I was dared to do the salt and ice challenge. it stung and left a small mark on my skin. something easy to hide. the burn reminded me of the pain in cutting. so I continued on and that became another form of self harm. three things, burning, cutting and the challenge. they all inflict pain and they all help me in a way nothing else can," I was crying by now, Tony ended up taking and sitting me down in my bed. he sat next to me. "music helped me in ways I can't understand but it wasn't enough. the pain is what saved me from myself. especially after what happened. I'd rather not talk about why I was in the orphanage right now though."
"Colton, look at me." so I did. "you are the most beautiful girl I've seen. right now I honestly don't know what we are but all I know is I want you to be my girlfriend and I love you so much."
he said it. those three words. can I say them back? do I love him back?AN // hope you enjoyed
