A couple years of up all night and a few thousand diapers later.
That mistake he thought he made covers up the refrigerator.
Oh yeah..........he loves that little girl.

"fuck." calum mumbled getting jolted from his sleep from the wail coming from the baby monitor. michael stirred in bed next to him and went to sit up but calum stopped him. "i got it."

"no cal it's fine i got her." the blonde boy sat up but got pushed back down.

"no it's my turn. go back to sleep." calum climbed out of bed and quickly made his way across the hall to the nursery. he quietly opened the door and slipped inside to see the six month old was screaming her head off. calum ran over to the crib and gathered her in his arms.

"hi my love." calum cooed rocking her back and forth. "what's wrong peanut? please don't cry." kira showed no signs of quieting down. "do you need a diaper change?" calum asked sniffing her diaper. "nope. not that. are you hungry?" calum nodded himself and decided to take her upstairs to the kitchen. he rummaged through the cabinets to find the formula while still bouncing kira up in down in hopes to calm her down.

"hey let me do it." calum turned around to see michael sleepily stumble into the kitchen. the blonde gently pushed calum away from the cabinet to find the formula himself. "bring her back downstairs. i don't wanna wake up mom and dad." calum nodded and kissed michael on the temple before heading back down into the basement. he padded into the nursery and sat himself down in the rocking chair.

"peanut please calm down." calum said rocking her back and forth. the raven haired boy was simply entranced by the little girl. she became his whole entire world in the past six months. other than michael of course.

"here." calum looked up from the baby to see michael standing over him with the bottle.

"thank you." calum whispered taking it from michael's outstretched hand and positioning it for kira to take. the six month old latched her mouth on the teat of the bottle and began to drink the formula. michael sat down on the floor next to calum and rested his head on the boy's knee. "you can go back to bed you know? you don't have to wait up for me."

"i want to." michael mumbled. calum nodded and turned his focus back on the six month old. she was just about done with the bottle and her pale green eyes started to droop.

"go to sleep peanut. we'll be here in the morning. you won't miss anything. i promise." calum whispered sweet nothings to the little girl while michael sat and listened smiling to himself. kira finally nodded off after ten more minutes of calum whispering to her and by that time michael had almost fallen back asleep as well. calum gently stood up and placed kira back into the crib. he knelt down next to michael and lifted him up into his arms.

"i can walk." michael whined.

"shh." calum breathed carrying the blonde back to their bed. he placed him down and crawled in beside him pulling the warm blue comforter over them. michael instinctively curled up into calum's side and nuzzled into his bare chest.

"i love you." michael whispered.

"i love you too." calum said back before quickly falling back into a deep slumber along with the blonde. little did the two know that their six month old little girl had woke karen up. and if karen sneakily took a picture of the two boys putting little kira back to sleep no one had to know.

"mikeeyyyy." calum whined picking up another box and walking out of the moving van.

"what?" michael yelled from inside the small house.
