She had that Honda loaded down.
With Abercrombie clothes and 15 pairs of shoes and his American Express.
He checked the oil and slammed the hood, said you're good to go.
She hugged them both and headed off to the West Coast.

"hood! someone's here to see you."  calum slid out from under the car he was working on to see one of his coworkers standing at the door to the garage.

"can you send them in here?" he asked.

"yeah of course." the younger man said turning around heading back towards the front of the shop.

"thanks joe." calum called after the strawberry blonde before sliding back under the car.

"working overtime huh?" calum grinned at the sound of his husband's voice.

"what's wrong with that?" calum retorted playfully.

"oh there's nothing wrong with it." michael sighed sitting cross legged on the floor beside the car. "i'm just curious to as of why today of all days."

"i know what you're thinking and you're wrong." calum said sliding out from under the car to get a good look at his husband.

"oh do you now?" michael teased. calum rolled his eyes and flipped the blonde off.

"you're an ass." calum said hoisting himself up before walking over to the sink to wash the grease off his hands. he felt michael's arms wrapped around his waist and his head resting against his back.

"i love you cal." the blonde mumbled. "i know you inside out. don't act like nothing's bothering you." calum sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

"let me go change." calum grunted softly. michael reluctantly let go of him and watched him walk off. he shook his head before leaving the garage area to go sit out in the parking lot. he sat on the hood of calum's new truck and fiddled with his phone while he waited for calum to lock up the shop.

he was in the middle of sending his mom a text when calum came out the side door and started to make his way over to the truck. he had changed out of his dirty maroon jumpsuit into a soft dark blue shirt and grey sweatpants. he had a backpack slung over his right shoulder and his gaze was concentrated on his phone with his fingers flying across the screen typing something rapidly.

"who ya texting?" michael called out. calum looked up at him and then back down at the phone.

"ash." calum mumbled getting closer to the blonde. "why are you sitting on my truck?"

"why not?" calum rolled his eyes at michael's comment and hoisted himself up next to him. he took his backpack off his shoulder and started digging through it to find his keys.

"where the fuck are my goddamn car keys?" calum mumbled sounding obviously frustrated.

"what's the matter?" michael asked quietly. calum froze for a second before going back to looking for his keys.

"nothing." he muttered. "just had a long day."

"i know you didn't sleep much last night."

"michael i'm fine." calum replied finally locating his keys and pulling them out of his bag. "i'll see you at home?"

"yeah i guess." michael sighed hopping off the truck. "i love you."

"love you too." he mumbled back. michael pressed a soft chaste kiss to calum's forehead before making his way over to the black suv and getting into the driver's seat. calum watched michael drive out of the parking lot before sliding off the truck and climbing into the driver's seat. he didn't start the truck though. he sat there staring at the lockscreen of his phone.
